In the morning, Chase stuck around for an hour later than usual to see if I got morning sickness. Before I was allowed out of bed, he had me drink a small glass of juice and eat a handful of crackers. Then I had to sit up for a little bit before he let me stand up. "It's to get your blood pressure stabilized before it makes you dizzy and even more sick to your stomach. Let's have you do this routine every morning for the next few months and then see where you are at then."
I had to admit that his way was making me feel a lot less sick than I usually did in the morning, "Where did you learn this? It's working for me. I only feel a little nauseous instead of a whole lot." He smiled at me, "I did some research and consulted with an OBGyn at the hospital. Speaking of which, do you want a OB to deliver the baby? You probably should start seeing one now and maybe that would be better to have someone who knows more about this specialty than I do."
I looked at him thoughtfully, "Maybe that is a good idea. You pick the best one for me and I want all of you involved with the appointments, especially you. That way you can enjoy the birth as a father instead of the doctor." Chase smiled and hugged me, "Thank you sweetheart. I'll set up an appointment for you." I took a shower with him standing nearby to make sure that I didn't get dizzy with the warm water. With everything that he had me do, I was feeling better and I got dried off and dressed. He walked with me downstairs and left me with Jake before he kissed me goodbye and went to work. Everyone had already eaten and Lexine was on her way out the door with Brady so I stopped to give her a big hug and kisses. I couldn't wait to feel better so that I could resume getting Lexine ready for school in the mornings.
Jake kissed me good morning and then continued to kiss me until my stomach growled which made me giggle. Pulling his head back, Jake looked rueful and said, "Sorry about that sweetie. Let's get you fed and then maybe you will have some time for Candyland." That really made me laugh, the man had already named my lower lady parts the Candy factory so I knew that what he meant by that! "Hmmm... maybe. It all depends on how good the food is." He threw his head back laughing, "Do you want a snack now and go eat somewhere right after? I do know that I am taking you shopping today for bigger bras and maternity stuff so we will be out and about. It's up to you and how you feel."
"I want a snack now and eat a big lunch somewhere and then go shopping." I told him, and he grabbed my hips to steer me towards the kitchen. I ate a banana and half a peanut butter sandwich with a glass of milk. "You ready to go now?" Jake asked me and I shook my head no. He looked confused until I grabbed the front of his shirt and tugged his head down to me for a lingering kiss. When the kiss broke off, he said, "Oh hell yes. I need some sugar." He grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the kitchen and into his office. Quickly he stripped me then himself and lay me out on the couch. Touching, kissing, loving words, consumed us and soon we were reaching a climax together. We managed to get cleaned up and redressed after catching our breath.
"Sweetie, if we don't get out of the house now, I'm going to have you naked in bed all day." he told me and I laughed while I got my jacket and purse. He took me to the mall and the first thing he did was take me to get bigger bras. Jake had a lot of input on the selection that he got me. I had to remind him that my breasts were going to change in size again so not to get too many. He accepted that but then decided that I needed more lingerie. There was no stopping him, so I ended up with more nighties and panties too. Of course the last time that I was here with Brady, he got hit on but Jake made it very clear that he was here with me and though he got many admiring looks from the ladies, none approached him.
There was a Motherhood store in the mall so Jake and I made our way to it and it struck me as funny that the guys really didn't mind shopping with me and giving their opinions. Even though it was too soon, I wound up with the stretchy paneled maternity pants and cute matching tops. Jake was so excited by all the shopping the he even insisted on going to Macy's to look at baby clothing. By then we had too many bags so we made the detour to the car first to drop them off in the car before heading back in. Holding hands we walked along like a typical couple. Jake couldn't believe how many different clothes there were for babies. Most of everything was gender specific but Jake was determined to get something. "It's my first baby and I just need to buy something!" He told me. I smiled at him understanding how he felt. I steered him towards the yellows, light greens and black and whites, all the gender neutrals. He wound up buying a grey pair of pants and matching onesie. "We can add pink or blue to the outfit later when we know what sex the baby is." I told him and he thought that it was a good idea.
We took it to the counter sales lady asked if we needed a gift receipt which we declined. "It's for our baby." Jake said proudly with his arm around me. "Congratulations!" the sales lady said to us. Jake just beamed and I was filled with love for him. He took me back to the car and then pointed out a chain restaurant that featured French cooking in the far corner of the mall's parking lot. I agreed and he drove us there. The hostess seated us in cozy corner booth for two and we placed our order with the male server that came to our table. The carrot muffin that came with my soup and chopped Cobb salad was so delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed it with the melting butter.
Jake had gotten some kind of burger with sourdough bread which meant that he had French fries as well. He was smart enough to give me a few of them. "So about Thanksgiving next week, the guys and I were talking and we really don't want you doing too much. Do we still want to host it?" he asked me. Thinking about it for a few seconds, I replied, "Yes, I still want to. I can cook a turkey. You guys can do the heavy lifting for me. Why don't we all talk it over tonight with everyone. I'm sure that there is a middle ground we can all agree on."
He grinned at me, "Looks like Preston has been rubbing off on you sweetie. You're starting to sound like him." I just laughed at him. Jake took care of the bill when it came and I was surprised at how comfortable I had become with that. I didn't feel like a burden to them anymore and I knew that once my jewelry making took off, I would be able to pay for meals too. I was already planning to use my first commission from Collette for Christmas presents. The hard part was picking out gifts for the guys.
Outside in the parking lot as Jake opened the car door for me, I saw that about 10 cars away a familiar figure had a camera out. Honestly! I thought to myself, why is that ass still taking pictures of me? "Jake, that guy..." Jake cut me off, "I know sweetie, just pretend like you haven't seen him. I sent Preston and Wyatt a message. They'll use some favors and get someone to bug his office and track his car." Just then I noticed the phone in his hand. He shut my door once I was inside and continued to talk to me as he got in the other side and started the car. Typing something into his phone after it buzzed, he asked me, "Feel like a detour sweetie? Let's take the long way home." I said yes understanding that he had a plan. Slowly he left the parking lot and a car followed us from a distance.
