I thought that I would squeeze in one more chapter before I start my cooking frenzy! For those of us in the United States, Happy Thanksgiving!

I stayed cuddled up to Preston for a while until it was time to put Lexine to bed. She was excited about tomorrow being Halloween and the guys were going to take us trick or treating in the neighborhood around Bob's Diner. Lexine chattered excitedly about that.  She even insisted on looking at her costume again hanging in the closet. As I tucked her in the bed, I brought up a subject that she had broached to me a little while ago.

"Remember when you asked me if the guys were going to be your new daddies? Well, they want to be." I said to her gently.

She looked thoughtful for a few seconds, "Ok mommy. What should I call them?"

"What would you like to call them?"

Her little fingers plucked at the blanket. "Can I call them daddy?"

"Yes, I'm sure that they would like it. Do you want me to ask them for you?"

She nodded her head with a serious expression. "If they say it's ok then I will. Later."

"Not ready to talk to them yet?"

Lexine shook her head no and said, "It still won't come out of my mouth. It gets stuck."

I smoothed the hair back from her face. "It's alright baby. It'll come out when you are ready." I stayed with her for a few more minutes until she fell asleep. I sat there watching her sleep and feeling sorrow in my heart. If there was anything that I could do to take her anxiety away, I would have done it. All I could do was love her and show her that our lives were going in a different direction now. I thought about our guys and remembered that with all the love and affection that they were showering us with, our lives were infinitely better. I smiled and felt better. They were exactly  what we needed in our lives.

I went downstairs and joined them in the living room. "How's the little princess?" Jake asked me, as I sat down next to Brady. "She's asleep and really excited about Halloween tomorrow." I paused and wondered how to bring up the next subject.

"What's on your mind buttercup? What do you want to ask us?" Brady asked me. I looked at him surprised. How did they always know these things? He grinned at me, "It was written all over your face."

I smiled back at him, "She asked a little while ago if you guys were going to be her new daddies. Now that I've explained that you are and want to be her new dads, she's wondering if it's ok with all of you if she calls you daddy."

There was silence all around and I was nervous for a second until I saw the looks on their faces. They were touched and Jake's eyes glimmered like he had tears in them. Preston cleared his throat and said slightly gruffly, "Of course Wyatt isn't here but I think that I speak for all of us when I say that we would be honored if she would call us daddy."

"If she is asking that, does that mean she is thinking about talking to us soon?" Jake asked hopefully.

"She is thinking about it but she said that the words get stuck in her throat." I explained to them.

Chase spoke up, "We can't push her on this but what we can do is when we each have a few minutes alone with her, let her know that she can call you daddy. Tell her how much you'd enjoy that when she is ready to talk to you. Let her know that she is in control of it."

The other guys nodded. I couldn't believe my good fortune of finding these men. My heart was theirs forever. With that heartfelt discussion over with, the subject changed and the guys watched a soccer game on tv while I read a book on my iPad. I fell asleep and woke up when I felt someone picking me up. I cracked open my eyes to see Brady holding me. "I'm taking you to bed buttercup." I nodded sleepily, closed my eyes and felt different kisses on my forehead and cheek with whispers of goodnights.
