Less than an hour later, Cass parked a yellow bus in front of the Science Building. Bobby smiled in one corner of the room when Cass accepted a victory cheer from the crowd. She reported to Greg and then Greg ordered the waiting people to board the bus.

Miguel and his remaining warrior panned out of the building and created a perimeter security around the bus while children and other combatants entered the bus. Cass pulled out a 10-gallon diesel fuel and started refilling the massive vehicle.

A lull in the organize chaos made Cass stand in front of Bobby who only raised an eyebrow. Cass eyed him wearily. "You cool?"

"Why wouldn't I be?"

"Well," Cass said. "I heard you lose the use of your long stick. I know that you love playing with your long stick" Her eyebrows went up and down in such a ridiculous way that Bobby had to laugh.

They stayed like that in companionable silence. "You didn't deserve what happened to you. I just want you to know that I'm here okay?"

Bobby smiled sadly. "I'm still going, Cass. Nothing changed. Greg doesn't believe that, but I am."

Cass looked at him, then nodded. "Alright, I accept that. But while you're still with us, I got your back."

"I know, and I appreciate that."

Greg stood in front of the lobby, fully dress for battle. His elemental sword is out on his back. "Let's go, people. Saddle up!"

Bobby and Cass bump fist then started moving.

The bus has to go and circle around the sunken garden to pass the massive ancient arch that serves as the gate of the university. Drawing on her experience, Cass deliberately rode the bus in a slow manner to make the vehicle as unattractive to the runners as possible.

Consequently, it became a pseudo-tour of the university before leaving the place forever, giving everyone in the bus a melancholy look as they surveyed the place they were forced to stay in for the last 24 hours.

At least 2 buildings were gutted by fire and to Bobby's utter horror, 2 other buildings had windows showing live people, watching them stonily as they pass through them. Bobby was about to protest when he caught Cass looking at him in the back mirror. She shook her head slowly, and Bobby slumps back to his seat. If Cass knew about the other people out there and stop me from helping then she got a good reason to do so. Still, leaving people behind seems disturbing to Bobby.

Unknown to him, Agnes is watching his troubled face.

They pass the concrete statue of the naked man with outstretch hands and looking at the high heaven, the symbol of the university for the past hundred years. Now, zombies shamble all around it with the occasional dead body scattered around and zombies leaning over them and...doing what zombies do.
