Zombie Apocalypse meets the Gamer. to make it a bit different, I decided to create a new kind of zombie with its own rules. hopefully, the zombie will become more dangerous and open up new possibilities. So basically, this is a story of an underdog...
The word count for each chapter might vary in every chapter as I try to find the optimum word volume I can sustain in the most frequent rate I can churn out the chapters without dropping the quality. So please bare with the confusion for a little while longer.

The wail outside suddenly change into a higher pitch and abruptly ended. Animalistic growl followed and then the sickening sound of tearing muscles and breaking bones can be heard. Bobby wished at that exact point in time that he didn't have heightened senses.
He quickly and methodically cleaned out the place of anything useful then crouched out of the room. Bending down, Bobby peeks outside and sure enough, the woman was dead alongside her man as both of them became the food of five zombies feasting.
Bobby sneak closer as he started gathering mana around his left arm while muttering the activation spell for the earth spike. Bobby turned on his mage sight as well and observe the moving eyes among the zombies.
Using the mana line, Bobby found out that besides this five, another zombie is lurking farther away, probably investigating a sound he heard. Bobby slammed his open fist in the ground and instantly, earth spike hit the five zombie eating. One was lucky and hit a moving eye, and disintegrated the zombie promptly.
The other four got stab by the earth spike in multiple regions in their body, effectively holding them in place. Bobby came out of the pharmacy with Cass' sling in his hand and fired at the detached zombie further away. That zombie never even saw his assailant, as powerful electrical light engulf him, eventually frying his moving eye and turning him also to dust.
Bobby did not even give him a second thought as he turned to the rest of the struggling zombies and shouted, "Bless!" A shower of light engulf the immobile zombies and their growling turned to a pained shriek of the dead only to abruptly stop when all four of them turned to golden dirt.
Bobby grabbed three gold and two silver pieces in the ground, then he discovered something new in the golden dust. Something he had never receive before from the game system. Bobby grabbed a pair of purple fruits.
He wiggled it around, smelled it, tap it a few times then used his "Observe" skill on it.

There is no mention of it being harmful to humans, Bobby thought. And so he took a bite and his eyebrow rose up. "Nuts?"
The fruit has a wet nutty flavor inside but softer, like the white meat of a coconut, except this one is purple.
"Not bad," Bobby decided as he continued chewing on the fruit while continuing to check it out. Inside the fruit are several round black seeds the size of a pearl. In fact, the seeds itself looks exactly like a black pearl.
Bobby observes that as well.

Bobby smiled since he learned something new today.
A steady stream of footsteps grabbed his attention. He immediately activated his sneak mode just in time for another group of zombies came shuffling at the end of the street. Bobby breathes a sigh of relief when he is relatively sure that the zombies are not able to detect him from the cloak of his sneak mode.
