Bobby screamed. He couldn't help it, he is losing control of the vast ocean of mana inside of him as they struggled to burst out of his body. The Oath Transformation was more potent than he remembered it to be.

He can feel his mind getting engulfed in pure energy, threatening to drown him, his humanity ever so slowly slipping away from him.

The wind vortex around him grew even stronger. Unknown to many, the vortex was the simple combination of his air shield and Psychokinesis spells that he learned a long while ago. The main difference is that he powered it, not by his normal mana, but by the divine mana, he had access to when he is in his chosen champion form.

In this form, he had access to Galethea's vast magical reserve in its purest origin, unlike the one Rocky is using in his personal Void room. In this form, he is closest to his god.

And despite the limited access, he gets due to the low level of his form, the magic is so overwhelming that he is struggling with all his might to control it. It was simply not a power that a mere human can control adequately. And now, his mind was slipping away from him.

No. Not like this.

They needed me. My life is not my own anymore. I have responsibilities.

I will not be commanded. I will not be controlled.

And so he clamps down. Hard.

His unbelievable will push back the energy that is erasing him. It growled its protest but ever so slowly, the mana inside him became less intense, more subdued, still dangerous but a bit more tamed.

The vortex shrunk and solidified. It floated upward until it created a magical sphere of wind with metal weapons swirling all around them. Bobby floated naturally into the middle, where it was relatively calm. This time, he didn't need the imp to fly, the wind was so strong that it lifted him effortlessly.

Multiple missiles were fired at him, and they all exploded harmlessly in the outer shell of the vortex. Guns started blazing everywhere, and the bullets instead became part of the powerful whirlwind as they were sucked inside the magical phenomenon. Knives, swords, spears and other blunt weapons continued to orbit violently inside the sphere of wind, creating a natural meat grinder. One fanatic even threw a Molotov into the chaos, the weapon within slashed the bottle and the fire whooshed out for a moment before it too was swallowed by the rushing wind. Then the vortex started to move. A screeching sound of tearing metal and the howl of wind became even more apparent as the destructive juggernaut started crushing everything in its way. People ran in every direction, and any semblance of organized resistance vanished.

Bobby can be seen in the middle as a silhouette of a floating man, and some of the fanatics considered this encouraging. If they can see the enemy, then they can reach him. A group of the Kulasa soldiers led by a sergeant works their way to the side and as close as they dared while the vortex moved inexorably towards the center of the compound.

On hindsight, the attack was professionally done with military precision, but they were simply outclassed. The first three RPG shooters lined up, and after a quick shout from a sergeant, they fired the missiles as one. All three exploded in the outside of the spherical twister, but then 2 more projectiles pass through the smoke, hoping that the split second vacuum will let the incoming followup missiles enough leeway to reach Bobby.
