Multiple RPG rounds smashed into the ground just beyond the gate. One exploded 5 feet away from the oak tree Team Leader Eric is hiding from. He cringed as several molten hot shrapnels thudded behind the thick trunk of the tree. "Sonvabitch!" He whispered to himself. "Bastard was right, The top floor of the building in front of the base gate is held by the Kulasa brotherhood."

He gave his hand signal to the other five especially pick Rangers, and he notched the special arrow into his longbow. He waited three more seconds to get his men ready and then he made a shrill whistle in the air. Instantly, five rangers plus Eric rose up from their hiding places and release their arrows to the 4th and 5th-floor windows where the head of the Kulasa snipers are showing themselves now and then.

His arrow barely missed the ear of one of the kulasa rifleman and disappeared inside the room. It didn't matter though because the next moment, the entire top floors of both buildings were engulfed in a massive explosion. Kulasa snipers screamed as the force of the blast threw them out of the window, their bodies burning, as they fell to their deaths.

The Kulasa main charge also did not go unimpeded. Volleys after volleys of deadly magical arrows fell upon the masses of incoming killers. The frontline Kulasa Warriors held those makeshift metal barriers you usually see in a concert and covered in either in metal plates or wooden boards. This shields protected the front ranks from the incoming missiles.

When the fanatics get closer, the archers' volley stop and they switch into individual sniping. This in turn dramatically increased their accuracy as many of the bow users have adapted to acquire many short-range archer's abilities and skills, such as "Multiple shots" that makes a single shot arrow into 3 and the first tier of "Rain of Arrows." These deadly skills started showing results immediately as more and more of the Kulasa warriors screamed as legs and arms get hit by the magical projectiles, and the others simply fell down dead when they were hit in a critical part.

But the death toll did not shake the Kulasa morale and eventually, they reached the gate. A battering ram was called for against the makeshift barrier the players erected with the short time they are allowed to do so, while another was waiting as back up. It only took 3 smashes before the chain link locking the gate were shattered and flew in different directions.

Then the fanatics came rushing inside the gate as they had 30 minutes ago. But this time the players were ready for them. Eric ordered a final volley, and then the rangers and thieves retreated in good order towards the flanks of the lined up mages and Bobby himself.

Some of the fanatics hesitated when they recognized Bobby in front of the mages. He was ten paces in front of the lined up mages, and then he shouted, "Shields!"

A slightly chubby mage stepped forward and created a mana shield in front of the other mages. The mana shield wasn't that strong, and he did warn Bobby that the shield can only last 2-3 minutes. But it was big enough to cover the entire line of magic users, and it gave them some protection, especially from the zooming bullets all around them.

The bullets from the guns of the Kulasa warriors might not kill the mages, but it can quickly stop a focus concentration and thus destroy a spell, followed by disastrous consequences of erratic wild mana around them.

Bobby meanwhile kneeled to the floor and both his hands glowed with massive mana buildup. He smashed his right hand into the dirt, and just over 30 claymen started climbing out of the cement floor. When all thirty of them was summoned, they did not hesitate and counter charged the Kulasa warriors.
