After another long day of crime fighting and saving the city from collapsing, Bruce sighed as he fixed his Batman helmet. He looked down at the carpet and let out another sigh. He just wanted to nap all day long.

But as soon as he went into his study hall, Alfred came in. Bruce gave a heavy frown and fell face-first onto the big and soft-plush arm chair. Alfred chuckled slightly and placed down a cup of tea on the coffee table.

"I take that you are exhausted after today's activities, Master Bruce?"

Bruce nodded and groaned, "yeah... I just want to sleep all day!"

Alfred shook his head. "I'm afraid you cannot nap just yet. There has been a sighting of a certain person..."

"I swear," Bruce cut in, putting a hand on his face. "If you say, 'Joker robbed something,' I will screa-"

"The Joker stole something alright..."
Alfred quickly covered his ears as his Bruce screamed into his hands. He groaned and gave a fake sob.

"I swear, that guy will kill me one day."

Alfred chuckled, "I am still surprised he wouldn't kill you after all of those attempts."

Bruce looked at Alfred. "What did he steal this time?"

Alfred shook his head, confusing his Master a bit. "Oh he stole something, alright."

"Alfred, you said that already."

The butler chuckled and stood next to Bruce and smiled. "I have noticed that you have been acting very odd towards the Joker since you and him last met. Have you developed any feelings towards him?"

Bruce raised an eyebrow. What the heck was Alfred thinking in his fanfictional mind? Did he think that he and Joker were... No that can't be right.

He looked at his butler and laughed nervously. But of course, Alfred knew that his master was nervous. He did not know exactly why, however. He suspected it was, indeed, about Bruce's 'Greatest Enemy.'

Alfred stood beside Bruce and smiled. "Have you developed feelings for a certain someone?"

The Dark Knight thought hard. He has been thinking a lot about the Joker ever since their last meet up. He thought that the clown was rather... Cute. The way he looked at Bruce when he admitted his hatred towards the lipstick wearing weirdo was almost heart warming. Those gorgeous grey eyes filled with a slight hint of doubt and hope. Joker's lip quivered and his eyes teared up with happiness. But there was one thing that Bruce couldn't put his finger on...

Why was Joker so happy?

Of course it was obvious: admitting your hatred to your 'greatest enemy' is a big deal, but Joker was incredibly happy. It didn't seem right. It was odd.

Snapping him out of his thoughts, Alfred cleared his throat. Bruce looked at Alfred and shook his head. "There's no way that I have feelings for that... Clown freak."

"Deny it all you want, Master Bruce," Alfred said, sitting down on a nearby couch and chuckling, "but it would seem as if you do. Robin, miss Barbara, and I have noticed you acting odd for the past pew days."

"So?"

"So, you do have something on your mind."

Bruce shrugged, "alright fine! I have been thinking about the Joker a lot lately. Remember when we gave him and the other criminals a thirty-minute head start?"

Alfred nodded, "indeed.'

"Well, remember when I went alone because we haven't gotten a bat-signal for over an hour?"

Again, Alfred nodded.

"Well... I looked all around Gotham to see if anything was out of place. And I went to see if anyone has seen the Joker at all. Apparently no."

Alfred nodded, "So you are worried about the Joker, yes?"

Bruce gave a 'so-so' sign. Sure he was, but not quite. "Ehhh... Kinda?"

"I see. Well I am sure that he just needs a break. He must be as tired as you, Bruce."

Bruce nodded and smiled, "y-yeah. You're right."

Alfred nodded and was about to leave the room, heading off to bed. He turned around, "one more thing, Bruce?"

He nods, "what is it?"

Alfred chuckled as he left slowly, "you should have made your first move."

Bruce raised an eyebrow. What the heck does that mean?!
