Joker opened the janitor door and slammed it behind him. Robin and Garfield frantically knocked on the door, tears forming in their eyes. They knew that Joker was hurt, but, they had to help him.
Startled at the sound of the slamming door, Barbra pulled away and saw the two boys, knocking hard on the door and yelling. She looked at Batman and raised an eyebrow as he glared at her. He dashed over to the children and held them, hugging them tightly. The Dark Knight pulled them away from the door and blinked rapidly, not understand what was happening. He cupped Robin's cheek and tilted his head, looking at Garfield with a confused look.
"What happened?!" He whispered silently, trembling slightly."J-Joker saw you kiss the commissioner! He ran away and we're scared that he'll do something terrible!" Garfield explained, eyes furrowed with worry. Robin sniffled, hugging Garfield tightly. The green boy held onto him and sighed shakily.
Batman's blue eyes widened in terror. How could he let the commissioner kiss him? He knew that the clown could not take anymore bad things. Of course, he is the Clown Prince of Crime and all bad itself, but the caped crusader knew that Joker could not take much more. His attitude changed from positive to, somewhat, negative. How could he hurt the poor clown like that?!
He kissed Robin's forehead, stroking his cheeks while still trembling. The freckled face boy's cheeks were stained with fresh tears as they continued to fall.
"Please bring him back, Padre!" Robin pleaded while sobbing.Batman nodded and got up quickly, running towards the janitor closet and whimpered in guilt. He could hear soft sniffling, followed by a loud sob. Taking in a deep breath into his lungs, he sighed heavily and knocked three times on the glossy door.
"J-bird? Are you in there?" He asked silently, pressing his ear against the door."Don't you dare call me that!" The clown exclaimed through the door suddenly, making the Dark Knight jump unexpectedly. He got up on his feet, biting his lip. Joker sounded very angry from the door.
Batman sighed softly and hit his head against the door rapidly. He needed to explain the situation to the clown. "Please, Joker. Let me in!"
After a few moments, there was no response from the other. The Dark Knight sighed, about to hit the door once more, when suddenly, the door swung open. He was dragged in, the door slamming behind him. The room was slightly dark and large. A small, dim light illuminated the middle of the room. Joker folded his arms, tears falling down his pale face.
Batman reached out his hand to touch the other's, but was smacked away. A loud hick could be heard as the clown cried more, eyes glaring at the caped crusader. The Dark Knight let out a sigh of defeat and closed his eyes tightly.
"Why are you here? Do you want to hurt me some more?!"
No!" Batman exclaimed, tears swelling up in his eyes. "No, Joker. I don't want to hurt you!"
Joker growled, his legs dropped to the floor. He trembled violently as he began to rock back and forth.
"Th-then why are you here? If you want to hurt me, go a-ahead. I deserve it!""No, J-bird. You don't deserve to be hurt. Not anymore, at least," he said softly, sitting down in front of the clown with worried eyes. He looked down at the floor as he sat on his legs. The familair senses of guilt filled inside of him. Tears fell down onto his cheeks, dripping down his neck and onto his black and white suit like droplets of fresh rain. It had been a long time since the caped crusader had cried like that. He looked at the clown and covered his mouth. His heart felt as if it were breaking slowly like a dropped glass onto the cold, hard concrete below.
"I didn't mean to hurt you, Joker," he said weakily."Then why did you kiss that Gordon Ramsay girl?! You seemed to enjoy it more than my distasteful kisses!" Joker cried harder, covering his lips in shame.
"Her name is Barbra, and I didn't mean to! She kissed me. Not the other way around!"
"You could have pulled away! It isn't that hard!"
"If I did, she would have known that something was wrong with me. I was scared! If I told her that I didn't want to date her, I would have made her suspicious about us! She knows that you've been gone for so long. I didn't want to put you in anymore danger!" He exclaimed, tears falling down his chin like a waterfall. He broke into a sob as the caped crusader felt his heart shatter. Batman had hurt the Joker badly, and he hated himself for it.
The clown's acid green eyes widened in terror as he gasped. Of course the Dark Knight had told him the night before that he would tell Barbra Gordon about themselves. Perhaps, the hero wasn't ready yet. He should have known that from the very beginning. Joker moved closer to the crying hero, tears falling down his cheeks. He wrapped his arms around the hero, burrying his head into Batman's shoulder.
"I should have known. I'm so blind. B-Batsy, I'm very sorry."Batman choked on his tears, struggling to speak. He pulled away from the hug and sighed shakily, cupping the villain's cheeks.
"I'm sorry, too, Joker.""It's 'J-bird', Batsy," Joker said, chuckling softly as he kissed his lover's tears away gently. "I love you v-very much. Y-you know that, don't you?"
"Yes, of course. I-I understand if you don't forgive me. I should have pulled away. You have every right to hate me," he looked down in shame, sighing shakily.
Joker chuckled at the Dark Knight and climbed into his lap, wrapping his arms around his neck. A big smirk planted onto his lips as he starred into the hero's blue, illuminating eyes.
"I hate you, Batman." And with that, he kissed him right on the lips. The Dark Knight's eyes widened as he couldn't believe that the Joker would say that. His eyes fluttered slowly as he closed them, kissing the clown back lustfully.Batman pulled away, giving the Joker a sly smirk. He then said, "your kisses are delicious. Batman approved."
Joker giggled and kissed the Dark Knight's lips again, then his cheeks, his forehead, and nose. Batman chuckled as he was showered with kisses.
"Why don't we go out for a sweet? My treat," Batman asked as he picked up the clown bridal-like.
"I would love to! Let's collect the children and head on out!" Joker exclaimed.
The Dark Knight nodded as he carried the Joker out and headed over to the children. He watched as Garfield and Robin's eyes lit up, knowing that the two made up some how. They then went out to the exit sign while holding the Joker.
"Oh! One more thing, Bats!" Joker said as they went inside the limo. "You're sleeping on the couch for this." The Dark Knight groaned as the butler laughed, driving into the night in search of a good restaurant.
