As Robin and Beast Boy continued to chase each other through the park, they laughed and giggled as they tackled one another repeatedly. Their bursts of giggles made all of the adults there coo in response to the adorable, little cuties. It was a cute sight, indeed.
Suddenly, a large explosion came from nearby and sent the parents from before running after their children and ran away with them. The two boys gasped and ducked for cover. They hid underneath a park bench and whimpered a little in fear. But, after a few moments, Robin came out of the bench and looked around. He turned to face his beloved and knelt down on one knee, putting out a hand in reassurance.
"It's okay, Beasty. Coast is-"
Just when he was about to finish, he fell on his other knee and gasped for breath. A large, black smoke covered the sidekick's entire body, making him tremble in terror. A gasp and a long wheeze escaped his lips as he fell onto the ground.
Beast Boy gasped in terror and changed into a large man-sized hawk and blew away the smoke with long, powerful gusts from his wing speed. His wings would slap each other over an over again, his heart beating faster and pounded into the green boy's chest. He hoped that his friend was okay. From above, the changling boy could see that a large building fire has started nearby. Fear rised within himself, but he let out a long, shaky sigh in response.
Flying down and changing back into his normal form, Beat Boy helped up the, now coughing, freckled face boy. His face was covered in dirt and soot due to the smoke. His tongue was pitch black as if he hadn't eaten something rotten.
"Robin?!" The green boy carried the sidekick bridal-like. "We're going home. I'll take good care of you! I promise!"
Then, another explosion sounded off from behind the green boy. He ran away, heading towards the Wayne Manor in fear. He had to get Batman. He needed to get help.
Robin gave a weak cough and looked behind Beast Boy and gasped horrifically. A man was flying in the air. Behind him was a purple colored cape. The freckled face boy thought that it was Superman that was going to help the two poor boys, but he was incredibly incorrect.
One final and bone chilling explosion sounded off as Joker and Batman arrived at the crime of the scene. The caped crusader and his fiance looked around in fear for their beloved children, but had no luck. The clown looked up in the, now, dark red sky and gasped at the sollute of a familar figure.
Batman saw the figure, but once he saw the familar purple cape, he backed away and continued to search. The figure slowly flew away, causing the city even more chaos and destruction. Not like Gotham city needed it since of its current state, but the Dark Knight shrugged it off, as expected. All he could focus on right now was finding his son and his son's beloved.
Joker was uncovering a jungle gym, when suddenly, he saw a small, green triceratops hovering over something. Of course, the chubby man knew who it was and touched the creature's scaley and rough back gently in reassurance. As expected, the creature tensed up and let out a whimper. But, Joker continued on petting the creature softly.
Batman saw this as he uncovered a crumbled slide. He gasped as he dashed over to the clown with tears in his eyes. As the triceratops rose to its feet, a small, freckled face figure was seen under the creature. The boy's bottom lip treckled with fresh, crimson blood. His goggles were, surprisingly unharmed. Bruce remembered that they were plastic goggles, after all. He was relieved of this. Robin was wheezing and crying out in pain and agony as he tried to open his eyes slowly. But every time he tried to open them, they would shut close.
The small, green triceratops moved aside and fell onto the ground, changing back into his regular form. Scrathes were scattered across his body. Beast Boy's black and purple outfit was ripped on the back as blood slowly seeped through the large, ripped hole. Joker dashed to his side and put him onto his back, telling the weak boy to hang onto the clown as tightly as he could. Beast Boy gave a weak nod as he wrapped his arms around Joker's neck gently. The clown moved forward and watched as the caped crusader pulled out the injured sidekick and broke into a sob. It was the poor boy's birthday. He did not deserve any this.
Batman carried his limp sidekick and pulled his head up. His heart skippes a beat when he heard the poor boy cough weakily.
"Robin," he cooed softly, kissing Robin's forehead gently.
"Pa-dre," Robin studdered as his whole body trembled in fear. "Super-man tried t-t-to-"
"Shh," Batman said softly as he kissed the freckled face boy's cheeks. "Save your breath, son. We need to get you and Garfield to Wayne Manor."
Robin nodded and burried his face into his father's chest gently. He heard Joker say something about Beast Boy, but shook it off. Whoever the Superman look-alike was, whatever he wanted, was going to pay for what he did to his boyfriend. And Joker knew that the freckled face boy was thinking this. He was ready to take out the Superman look-alike, as well.
The couple ran quickly to Wayne Manor to aid their children and then deal with the 'villain.' As expected, the butler was there when Batman and Joker ran inside. They didn't notice that Barbra was with him because, at this point, they didn't care. Alfred and Barbra took the boys into their aiding care and began to clean the two off in the bathroom, while Batman and the Joker headed out to hunt down the new threat of Gotham.
And they were ready for anything, as long as they had each other for love and support.
