"They thought that they could be rid of me that easily, huh? They think they could just forget that I exist. I'll show them. I'll show them all."

The sky was a red-ish blue as the Joker and Batman were heading back to Wayne Manor to have a delightful afternoon with the kids. The clown was watching the News station on one of Batman's television sets that he kept in the Batmobile. He was sitting on the caped crusaders lap as the News reporter that was on the screen showed the weather. Suddenly, it flashed to a red banner with text saying, 'Breaking News!' He expected that it would be about his latest scheme. But, what he heard next was bone chilling.
"Breaking News!" Exclaimed the News reported as her face had terror written all over it. "As we have previously reported months ago, the Scarecrow was pronounced dead due to a syringe he injected into himself. Behind me are the people who locked up the body previously." It cut to several men in lab coats with guns in their hands. They all had several pairs of glasses and earpieces attached in their ears.
"I wish I was joking when I tell you this, ladies and gentlemen. But, as a reporter, it's my job to tell you what's wrong. And-well," a sudden bomb was heard as she and the cameraman ran. "The Scarecrow has returned! He was never dead! We don't know how this is possible. But if you are anywhere near downtown, return home immediately!" Then, the screen turned to static, leaving the two soon-to-be-wed husbands speechless.
"That doesn't sound good at all," said Batman as he began to turn the plane around, heading towards downtown. "We should check it out."
"Are you nuts?! He's back for us both! He wants us dead! Don't you get it?! If we go there, we'll-"
"We'll be okay," Batman said in a reassuring voice, kissing the top of the clown's head gently. "Besides, we took him down before. The only thing I don't get is how the heck is he alive?! I mean, Garfield and I saw him kill himself. He couldn't have faked it. Maybe something revived him? It doesn't make sense!"
"I know," said Joker as he looked at the sky from where they were. "I mean, you got to be insane (like me) to want to revive a guy like that! Then again, I don't know the Author that well anyway. Who knows? Maybe he really is dead and this is a joke!"
Batman nodded as they continued to fly over to downtown to see where the walking doll was. And, hopefully, avoid getting killed in the process of putting him in the Arkham Asylum.
