It was finally the night of the dance. Joker sighed as he looked at the well-dressed man in, now, black and white. He wore a black and white tuxedo that matched with his Batman mask matching perfectly. His tie was black as it tied swiftly around his neck. The clown looked down, his head was filled with worry and anxiety. He wondered if he should adress it to the caped crusader, but surpassed it. Why would he want to listen to his problems, anyway? It was nonsense anyway.
"You okay, J-bird? You haven't said anything in a while," Batman said, raising an eyebrow. He looked into the clown's acid green eyes, searching for an answer. It was very obvious that the pale man was worried about something.
Joker gave a fake smile to the other, "I'm fine, Batsy. Don't worry about me!"
"But, I kind of am," Batman said ina flat tone. He was about to hold Joker's hand, but pulled away, chuckling at the hero.
"Don't be, darling. I'm fine! Just nervous, is all."
The caped crusader rolled his eyes as he and the children went inside the limo. Alfred sighed as he watched Joker not get in, raisning an eyebrow. The clown headed towards a tunnel and escaped into the dark shadows.
"Why is Mister Joker not coming along with us, Master Bruce?"
"So that he doesn't get caught. He has a way of getting into the party area. We'll meet with him later," Batman replied, sighing softly.
Garfield tilted his head, eyes furrowed. He looked at Robin and said, "why can't he come with us?"
"Because the security gaurds will see him. If they see Papa, they'll take him away," Robin explained, whimpering softly at the thought of his second father going to prison for nothing. He wished he could have fun. The clown had told him that he was worried about the police arresting him. And knowing this made the freckled face boy more afraid. He liked the police men and women, but if they took away his Papa, he would be very upset.
Batman sighed softly, also worried about his love. What if he gets caught on the way to the party? Of course, Barbra would be pleased. But not the Dark Knight. He would be just as upset as Robin. And breaking out the clown would be bad, due to the fact that he was the Clown Prince of Crime. It felt like there was no easy way out of it. This might be the last time the clown would have a night full of fun with the children and the caped crusader.
Gotham will never be the same if they knew the truth about Batman and the Joker.
Joker chuckled to himself as he heard the limo go by. The roars of the engine echoed inside of the tunnel. He was a little bit upset at himself for lying to the Dark Knight about his true feelings. But, of course, he did not want to ruin the night as is. He just wanted to make sure that this night goes by quickly.
The clown took a right turn, hearing more cars go by as he walked faster. He wanted to make it there before the family did. Excitement flowed through his bloodstream as he chuckled more. He admitted that he was happy to go along with the Dark Knight and the children.
But, there was one thing for certain: this night would be either splendid or horrible.
