Screams filled the air as Batman was still endlessly falling into nothingness. The caped crusader could hear the familiar sounds of maniacal laughter echoing throughout his mind. Air escaped his lungs as he remembered the scared look on his fiance's beloved face before he fell into whatever this place was. He looked so frightened and afraid. The Dark Knight knew that the clown would have fallen into where ever he was now. And, of course, he did not want that. Joker has already been through so much as it is. It was Batman's turn to feel some pain.

Suddenly interrupting his thoughts, the caped crusader fell onto a leaf-like substance, rolling onto his side at a quick speed. He hit something hard that stopped his rolling. But it caused a large bumb on his helmet, unnoticeable to see, though.

Slowly, Batman rose to his feet, brushing off the leaf-like substance off of himself. He gasped at the sight, his mouth dropping downwards. The sky looked as if it were a galaxy with its mixtures of purple, blue, and black. There was grass underneath him, but it was a purple-ish grey color. Water could be seen from afar. It was a magenta color as it flowed down in a slow, calming manor. Whatever this place was, it was so peaceful, so lovely.

"This is the Dark Void," said a familiar voice, making Batman jump in surprise. "No one is supposed to come here. But, I did. And now, I am going to erase you from here! Just you watch."

"Not in a million years, Scarecrow," Batman hissed, looking around for the source of the voice. "We both know that can't happen. Not ever!"

Silence filled the Void for a moment, leaving the caped crusader slightly dumbfounded. He was worried about his son, his son's boyfriend, his butler, and his fiance. He was worried about Superman too, but not a whole lot. The only reason why he was worried about the self-loving superhero was because he had the Joker. And that was a scary thought as is.

Then, a large green cloud filled with the familiar knock out gas floated towards the Dark Knight at an alarming speed. Looking around the beautiful horizon, Batman quickly made a mad-dash towards the river and saw a boat that had leather all over it. He climbed into it and wondered where the boat came from exactly. But, he shrugged it off as it began to move.

Looking up at the sky, Batman could see the doll-like man ontop of the green gas cloud, laughing and starring at the hero as he floated down the river quickly. Gasping as he took control of the boat by running to the front, the Dark Knight gasped as he could see Scarecrow fly almost onto the ship. He gave a low chuckle as the Dark Knight bit his lip and released the steering wheel to fight off the doll-like man. But, to his horror, it wasn't the Scarecrow. The familar-looking villain faded into nothingness as the gas cloud floated towards Batman. He was just about to grab the wheel once again, when he was knocked out by the gas. He fell onto his knees, coughing and covering his mouth. The last thing before he heard a bone chilling snap was the Scarecrow, laughing at the weakened caped crusader with a satisfied grin.
