As the couple waved farewell to their son, Dick Wayne, and his little lover, Garfield Logan, Bruce couldn't help but give a heart felt chuckle. It had been two very long years since he and the notorious, and fabulous, Clown Prince of Crime had fallen in love, almost died a few times, and lived happily ever after with Garfield and Dick, including Barbara and Alfred, in their lives. Though it may seem so recent, it felt like decades to the caped crusader. He turned to Jack and smiled softly, his cheeks flushing a bright red. Jack's hand held onto Bruce's as if he were seeking a bit of comfort. Of course, the couple had watched their son and their son's beloved walk to the bus stop time and time again, but it still felt so new and refreshing to him.

"It's been two years, huh?" Bruce asked softly to Jack, looking into his acid-green eyes with pure love. He caressed his cheek with his free hand, "And to think that we would have made it this far. Me still fighting crime, you causing the crime."

"Oh, you know how to flatter a girl, Batsy," Jack teased, giggling while pinching Bruce's cheek. His husband whinced in response, growling playfully. "Although," he looked towards the purple and blue hazed morning sky above themselves, "I did have a lot of doubts at first. What, with my flab and my villainous tactics. But I couldn't be any happier than I am now."

Jack leaned in, pecking Bruce's lips gently and smirking. He kissed his husband's cheek for good measure, leaving a red lipstick stain on his flesh. In all of his years, he would have never guessed that Batman would fall head over heels for the Joker. If anything, Jack always had thought that he wanted him dead! But now, whenever he looked at his left hand, he saw the emerald wedding ring band sealed onto his wedding finger and smiled. Some tears would shed as he remembered the reception, his groom-to-be, his son, his son's boyfriend, the governor's daughter finally accepting him for who he was and what he is, and Alfred, who held a sign that said, "BatJokes 4 Life". It made the clown cry with joy every time.

Kissing his forehead, Bruce smiled brightly ar his husband. He smirked and looked into Jack's eyes with pure love. "I'll say it a trillion times more and more and even more, I love you, J-bird. So much." He wrapped his arms around Jack and felt his husband return the embrace. Their hearts beat in rythm. "You're the light of my life, and I always needed you, no matter how many times I denied it before. Forget Superlame, forget the Scarefart, forget all of those lame-o's. You'll always be my number one villain," he cooed, locking their lips together for good meassure.

Pulling away, Bruce added, "And I love to love you just as much as I hate to hate you."

Jack held back a sudden burst of laughter. "That made no sense, Bats!" he said, his eyes welling up with tears, his mouth curled and chubby-like. Letting out a cough to hide the laugh, he nodded and kissed Bruce's lips. "But yes, I love to love and hate to hate you, too, you big love bug!"

The couple hugged each other as the sun rose over the horizon, waking up the world to let them know that Batman and the Joker were there for all to see.

But behind the couple, an elder butler couldn't help but smile, tears in his eyes. "That's my son," he said softly to himself. "That's my son."
