Chapter 55: The Ballad of the Dark Knight and the Clown Prince of Crime

Once the sun had went down for the day, Barbra Gordon was walking out of town hall for the evening to go to her home for a little while. She was still giddy after her little kiss between her and the Dark Knight. It was forced, yes, but she still enjoyed it none-the-less. The commissioner looked up at the dark sky, smiling to all of the stars that illuminated the sky. Several cars could be heard as they drove by on the smoothed out cement. It was peaceful. Too peaceful.

As she began to walk down the pavement and saying her goodbye's to the security gaurds, she gasped as a hook grabbed her arm. The line came from the very top of the building. The security gaurds ran to her aid as they saw the strange hook. Barbra screamed as the wire pulled onto her arm, holding onto it for dear life. She was caught by two familiar figures.

"Heya, doll!" Said Riddler, pulling on her ponytail, making Barbra cry out in pain. She thrashed around, growling in frustration.
"Oh! Feisty one, ain't ya'? Hey Peng! Catch!"

Barbra gasped as she was suddenly thrown to a long nosed, slightly but not really chubby man. He gasped as she kicked him in the stomach. Riddler caught Penguin and grabbed Barbra by the hair, shaking his head at her.

"I don't recommend you in doin' dat, miss Gordon. Mess with me, doll, lose somethin' more than ya' hair," Riddler hissed, kissing Penguin's cheek gently. "You okay, baby?" The long nosed man nodded shyly as his face turned red with blush. Riddler smirked at the sight and winked at his love. He then let him hang onto the flagpole as the green suited man handled with the fussy female hero.

Barbra grunted and kicked Riddler in the stomach multiple times, making him feel uneasy. When that didn't work, she kicked him in the knee cap, earning a scream from Riddler. The green suited man almost fell off of the skinny pole, his grip tensing up.

"Why you little bi-" he grabbed the flagpole and made Barbra scream as she was about to fall off again. But, she grabbed the pole, kicking the villain in the rear end. He almost fell, but his love caught him with his cane. Penguin growled at the female hero as she began to run to the top of the building, her eyes glaring at the ground.

Once the two villains got their balance and were back on the pole, they ran down the pole and hit Barbra's left leg with Penguin's cane, knocking her off balance. She was about to fall off the pole, when suddenly, a large cane grabbed at her waist, hoisting her up into a large, dark green helicopter. Barbra gasped as she saw the familair figure open the door to let her, Penguin, and Riddler inside. They laughed as the female hero was brought inside, smirking at one another.

"Well, well, well! If it isn't the little Gordon Ramsay girl! Pleased to see you again."

Batman growled as he, Alfred (dressed in his sixties Batman costume), Robin and Beast Boy flew in the sky in his Batplane, rushing towards the dark green helicopter. Beast Boy turned to Robin with a worried expression planted on his face. When the security gaurds of the town hall told Batman about what was happening, it made him a little scared. Robin held his lover's hand as they were now behind the dark green helicopter.

The Dark Knight growled in frustration as he opened the door slightly, moving so that Alfred took over the controls. He was agrivated by whoever attempted to kidnap the commissioner. This was because he was planning to have a lovely date with the clown. But, of course, a villain had to cause trouble. Just perfect.

As Robin, Beast Boy, and Batman were hooked to the helicopter thanks to the grappling hook, they ran across the line quickly. The Dark Knight raised an eyebrow as the door began to open slightly and close again. They ran inside as they were stopped by the Riddler. He grinned wickedly at the man in black and tackled him, pinning him to the ground as Batman struggled to get up. Beast Boy turned into a small triceratops and tossed the green suited man off of the Dark Knight. Batman thanked him as he and Robin ran towards a room where they could hear Barbra talking and yelling.
