A month went by after the Scarecrow's menacing attack with Batman. Since then, Batman and Robin have faught plenty of crime, including against the Joker. There were several times, in which, the chubby man would rob a pie-making factory and throw the pies that were being produced at the heros. It was very amusing to the man in black. But, he never admitted, of course. He still hid away some of his true feelings, like normal.
Two more months until the wedding. That reminder chilled Bruce down to the very bone. Of course he was nervous. Who wouldn't be? There have been many moments where the butler would reassure the Dark Knight that everything would and shall be alright in the end. Then again, what did he know other than making food and so on? Oh right: almost everything.
On this particular day, Batman decided to take the day off, even though his fiance was causing havoc, as usual. He needed a break. His son and his son's boyfriend took his place and told the caped crusader to take it easy. How does one take it easy? Bruce certainly didn't know.
He was all alone in Wayne Manor. The beloved butler was out playing some golf with his friends, as usual. Bruce never understood how that game could be interesting to play and to watch. All you do is hit a small, palm-sized, white ball, and hope to gosh that it goes into the hole. If it doesn't, you have to walk all the way across where you hit the ball previously, and hit it again. It seemed so boring and exhausting. How could elders enjoy such a sport?
Suddenly, the man in black heard something, or someone, walk around. He pulled out his batarang from his utility belt and grunted. Turning around once again, he noticed that something moved in the kitchen. He was just about to get up when he heard someone hum. He rolled his eyes and sighed softly as he laid back down into the couch, letting it swallow him up a bit.
"Heya, Batsy!" A voice exclaimed, making the caped crusader jump to the ceiling, and cling on for dear life. The green haired man gasped and giggled at the same time.
"Oopsy. Sorry!"
"What the heck are you doing here?! I thought you were-"
"Robbing the pencil and button factory?" Joker and Batman said in unisent, making the Dark Knight growl in response.
Batman jumped down onto the ground and put away his batarang, folding his arms in an angry position. He looked at the clown and rolled his eyes.
"Yes? So, why are you here?"
"I got so bored! The cops are so slow today. And just before you ask, Robin and Garfield already stopped me. They're at the park near the Manor, playing, and what-not," Joker explained as he watched his beloved hero sit back down on the black, leather couch.
Batman sighed softly as the clown sat beside him. He wrapped his arms around his waist and pulled him into his lap. He then kissed the chubby man's neck three times, receiving cute, little giggles in response. The caped crusader smiled softly and rested his hand on the Joker's right shoulder and kissed it gently.
"You know," Joker cooed softly. "I missed you when Scarecrow tried to kill you. You were out for a while. Even when you were awake, I was a little scared on losing you." The green haired man looked down at his lover's legs and sighed softly. He shook his head slightly, giving a weak laugh to what he had said.
"Stupid me. I should have known that you were going to be okay. But, because of my stupid, little, dumb, insane-"
"Stop," Batman cooed softly. He kissed Joker's forehead as he began to see tears form in the clown's eyes. He sighed softly and rolled his blue, illuminating eyes.
"You do that whenever you go too deep into thought. You have to remember that you aren't stupid. Yeah, you are insane, but that's what I love and thrive for. Otherwise, I wouldn't have fallen in love with you."
"If I never existed, but you were still a crime fighter, who would you date?" Joker asked softly as a few tears fell out of the corners of his acid green eyes.
Batman grinned and whispered, "Superman."
Joker gave a horrified gasp and got up from Batman's lap. "You wouldn't dare date that fiend!"
"I would, baby," Batman cooed softly, sending a wink at the clown seductively. He chuckled as his fiance began to walk away. When he came back, he brought out his fake 'bang!' gun. Joker growled at the man in black and sat back on his lap, but this time, facing chest to chest.
Pulling the trigger and pointing the gun at the Dark Knight, Joker grinned as the little flag came out, followed by a little puff of smoke.
"Let's 'bang'."
"No," Batman said softly, holding back a giggle. "My boyfriend is Superman. Superman is my husband!"
"Not on my watch, honey!" Joker exclaimed as he slammed his lips onto Batman's, wrapping his hands around the caped crusader's neck. He pulled back and giggled softly.
"We should put up a censor bar right about now, right?"
Batman nodded as he threw a large censor bar around themselves and grabbed Joker's hips.
"Let's see what you got, clown."
