Dick and Garfield laughing to one another as they were currently having a pillow fight against each other. As expected, Garfield was winning due to him changing into a purse-sized tarantula, freaking out the Boy Wonder. He threw one last pillow at Robin as he watched his beloved fall backwards onto the bed, giving out a small and long cry of 'agony'. Garfield changed back into his regular form and walked over to the freckled face boy with a sad expression on his face. Dick's eyes were closed shut and his tongue was sticking out. His chest moved up and down as he took in gulps of air through his nostrils at a quick pace. Garfield giggled and kissed his forehead softly, making the sidekick light up with blush. This made the green boy giggle softly as then laid beside the other while poking at his tongue slightly.
Finally, Dick flinched and got up, giggling softly to Garfield as he pulled him onto his chest. It was nice having a boyfriend. Was this what his fathers felt? If so, it was such a nice feeling.
"Why don't you want anything for your birthday? You're going to be thirteen! That's a big deal!" Garfield exclaimed in a, somewhat, soft tone. It was true, though. If it was the greeb boy's special day, he would ask for a few things. But, Dick asked for nothing. It was strange, that was for sure. What kid tells their father(s) that they do not wish for anything for their birthday?
Dick giggled and wrapped his arms around Garfield's waist, holding him close to his chest. He knew that Garfield was going to ask this question, yet again. Honestly, he didn't blame him. No child would ask for nothing on their thirteenth birthday. But, the sidekick had a good explanation as to why.
"Well," he started, "why do I need things that I won't even need other than clothes? I mean, I could always ask for a new toy, but I don't play with toys that much since we have each other! Plus, I have all I want already."
"And what's that?" Garfield asked softly, raising an eyebrow. Suddenly, Dick kissed the green boy's lips deeply and pulled back, giggling softly. Garfield's cheeks turned into a mix of green and red as he turned as hot as fire.
Dick giggled at the sight and kissed Garfield's forehead as he held him tighter. Then, his hands trailed down a little bit, but not too far.
"Well, I have you, Padre, Papa, and Grandpa! Honestly, that's all I want. I want to hang out with you all on my birthday. That's my wish. And even if we don't go anywhere, at least my wish will come true either way! And that's a better present than toys and cake, if you ask me!"
Garfield blinked rapidly and smiled at the freckled face boy. He kissed Dick's nose gently and hummed softly. The green boy watched as the other's face turned bright red. Garfield laughed in triumph as Dick held him more closer and held his hands with his own. They then heard the butler call then down for lunch, interrupting their moment quite suddenly. Giggling at one another, the two boys got up from the bed and ran downstairs, chasing each other quickly to the kitchen.
