Garfield and Robin giggled as they made large pillow forts, smiling proudly at each other. They were nearby the bright, colourful Christmas tree, decorated with lights, different ornaments and a star on top.  Alfred was keeping an eye on the two, wondering why the green boy's parents have not called. He had said that they would not mind and would call, but they never did. It had been threr months since Garfield had, at this point, lived with Robin. It was sweet of the freckled face boy to let him sleep with him and offer clothes that no longer fit him. It was kind, and the butler loved it.

Alfred walked over to Garfield's fort, smiling at the green boy with gentle eyes. He was greeted and allowed inside, the boy's face had a sad appearance.
"Are you alright, Garfield? You seem a little upset."

"N-no, Mister Alfred. I need to talk to you," he replied, looking down sadly at several scattered pillows. The butler nodded, patting his shoulder gently in comfort.

Suddenly, Robin came in, smiling happily. He looked at Garfield and giggled. "I'm going to go get Papa and Padre! You wanna come?" Garfield shook his head, smiling softly. "Alright," said Robin, leaning in to kiss the green boy gently. "I'll be right back!" He then ran out of the fort, heading out and running up the stairs.

Garfield sighed, his face grew warm with blush. He looked at the butler, his eyebrows furrowed slightly.
"I don't have any parents. Th-they passed away. I'm an orphan, too. I used to live with my foster parents, but they hurt me really bad. They beat me, mistreat me, and call me names because o-of my ears." He uncovered his black, long hair and revealed his long, pointy ears. The butler gasped. He had never seen anyone like it with ears like an elf's.
"So, I ran away. I didn't want to deal with them anymore. I didn't know what else to do, Mister Alfred. I understand if Batman doesn't want me around anymore because I'm a run away."

Alfred looked at the boy, smiling happily as he moved closer to him. He wrapped his arms around him, pulling him into a hug. Garfield was confused at first, but instantly, he hugged the butler back tightly.
"You are more than welcome to stay with us, Garfield. And I believe Master B. will not mind one bit."

The green boy's dark violet eyes began to tear up at what the butler had said. He felt accepted and belonged. It had been a very long time for the green boy to experience acceptance.

As the two hugged, they were unaware that Robin had heard the whole conversation. Batman and Joker were in Robin's fort, heading out of it to see Garfield's. The sidekick began to tear up and hugged himself tightly. He had no idea that the poor green boy had been through so much.

Batman went over to the crying boy as Joker hugged him gently. They looked at each other, confused. They brought him into the kitchen as Joker held the little boy in his arms with care.

"What's the matter, Robin? You were so happy before," Joker exclaimed, nuzzling the young boy's cheek gently.

Robin sighed shakily as he nodded, "I was! B-but I heard Garfield talking about his parents. An-and it made me remind me of my parents. I feel bad because I don't have a gift for him."

Batman sighed softly, resting his chin ontop of the sidekick's. Joker kissed Robin's cheek gently and whimpered.
"You don't have to give him a present, kid. He already has a gift!"

Joker nodded and chuckled, "he has you, dear. And that's all he needs! Love is the best gift for that sweet, little boy."

Robin blinked, wiping away his tears with his Batman pajama sleeve. His cheeks were burning red.
"You're right! I don't need to get him anything because h-he has me!"

The couple nodded as they kissed Robin on his left and right cheek. Joker left a kiss mark on the left and laughed at the sight. They then returned back into the living and watched as Robin hugged Garfield, who was just getting out of the fort with Alfred and giggled softly. He kissed his lips rapidly, humming softly with each one.

The butler, villain, and hero laughed at the sight and smiled at one another. This Christmas certainly was going to be interesting. Not only was it Robin's first Christmas with Joker and and Bruce, but it was also Garfield's first Christmas that was filled with love and happiness.

The clown headed upstairs as everyone was alseep. He had made a mug of hot chocolate and smiled softly as he sipped it. Joker went inside Batman's room, smiling at the sleeping caped crusader. He sat the mug onto the bed dresser and sighed as he pulled out the small, now wrapped, wooden box and put it back into his pocket. The clown leaned over and kissed the Dark Knight's cheek gently and smiled at the kiss mark that was left on it. He nuzzled into his chest gently. Slumber washed over them as they slept through the evening. A familiar tune played in the back of his mind, making the clown smile in his sleep.
