As the spring had slowly arrived right on schedule, the Dark Knight sighed as he went outside, enjoying the above seventy degree weather. The fresh smell of cut grass filled his nostrils, satisfying him slowly. He turned around and saw his fiance who had a sad expression. Tilting his head, the Dark Knight walked over to the clown and smiled.
"Beautiful day, huh?"
The Joker nodded slowly, looking down at the grass. Tears began to form in the corners of his acid green eyes. Thoughts of the tight wearing superhero filled his mind like a wildfire. The kiss that he had received felt like bleach on his lips. The tears began to fall down his face as he hugged himself tightly, a small sniffle escaped his nostrils. A sob escaped through his lips as he began to cry.
Noticing this, the caped crusader walked over to his soon-to-be bride and comforted him. He knew that receiving a kiss from someone you do not love was hard. Wrapping his arms around the villain's waist, he hugged him tightly and let him cry into his partially exposed chest. He sighed as he stroked his lover's back, feeling sadness travel through his thoughts.
"I love you, baby," he cooed softly. "Don't you ever think otherwise."
"I won't, Batsy," he replied with a small smile. "I feel terrible. That kiss I got was like tasting cheap Dollar Tree candy!"
"I know, darling," he cooed softly once more. "That's how I felt when Barbra kissed me. Bad candy."
Joker grinned and nodded, pressing his face against the caped crusader's chest. He was so happy to have the Dark Knight in his life. He did not know what he would do without him. However, a small pinch of curiosity filled his mind. He wondered who his lover was behind the mask. The villain would never tell a soul. Not in a million years. Joker looked up at his lover, a small blush formed across his cheeks.
"Batsy? When can I see your actual face? It's been seventy-nine years and I've never seen it once!"
Batman sighed, biting his lip. He did not respond for a moment. It was true that the clown never once saw his face. Perhaps, now was a good time when all was asleep. He grabbed the villains hand and placed it on the rim of his mask. He was putting all his faith and trustworthiness into the clown.
"Pull it off, baby. I trust you."
Shocked, the Joker's eyes widened with astonishment. Never did he think that he would ever see the hero's true face. Nodding and biting his lip, the clown obeyed the command and began to pull off the hero's mask slowly. He could see his mouth and nose, chuckling softly. The hero rolled his eyes as he sighed deeply. Joker then pulled the mask off, closing his eyes. When he opened them, they went wide.
"B-Bruce Wayne!?" He exclaimed in a question, his legs feeling like noodles. He could not believe it - he was dating Batman, also known as Bruce Wayne! "B-but how? This can't be happening. I'm dreaming- I'm-" and with that, he fainted, falling onto the green grass with a thump.
Batman sighed deeply and put back on his mask he carried his lover back into the house. What the caped crusader didn't know was that, due to the clown fainting, he forgot what was underneath the mask. Batman went inside and sighed softly as he went back into the bedroom, trying to forget what just happened.
"He's not ready."
