As Alfred gave the caped crusader a spare pillow and blanket for the leather couch, he chuckled. Whatever had happened between the two resolved with him sleeping on the couch. It was rather hilarious. Never did the butler think that the Joker would do that to Bruce. And, unexpectedly, it had happened.
The Dark Knight sighed as he laid down on the couch, putting over a large orange, fluffy blanket over his body swiftly. Alfred looked at him and grinned.
"Did something happen between you and Joker?"
Batman nodded, letting out a long groan. He regretted the kiss between him and the commissioner. It would take a lot to earn Joker's forgiveness.
"Barbra kissed me and I kissed back by accident. He's angry at me for it, still."
"Oh, my. Did you tell her about your sexuality?" Alfred asked, fluffing up the pillow for his master.
"I was too nervous to say anything. I was gonna tell her about him and I, but, she knows about Joker's disappearance. So, I didn't want to give her any ideas."
Alfred nodded and rubbed the temple of his nose, adjusting his glasses. He looked at the Dark Knight and exhailed through his nostrils.
"Are you aware that she saw you with Joker?"
"Wait, what?!"
Alfred nodded and sighed, "she saw you and the Joker. But if she asks, I will tell her that he got away, yet again."
The man in black gave a relieved sigh and laid down, the back of his head hitting the pillow softly. He looked at Alfred, yawning softly as he turned off the lights and lit a match, throwing it into the fireplace and leaving without another word, other than , "rest well, Master Bruce."
Even if he wanted to, the hero was worried about the villain. He wondered how he was doing all alone in his bedroom. The Dark Knight looked at his chest, biting his lip. Of course, in a relationship, it is good to be separated through these types of situations. However, the caped crusader missed and was washed over with guilt. Oh!- how he wanted to keep apologizing. But he knew that the clown wouldn't forgive the hero. He did not forgive the tight wearing, so why should he forgive Batman?
With his mind trapped with many thoughts, one made him tremble with fear. What if Joker left him because of what he had done with Barbra accidentally? It was unintentional, of course, but his conscious thought otherwise. Perhaps, it was for the best. Why should the sweet, innocent clown forgive him for what he has done?
Joker laid wide awake, tears streaming down his cheeks, landing on the pillow under his head. The clown was dressed in black and purple pajamas as he looked at the white ceiling. He knew that one day the hero would do something like this. Of course, he believed that the Dark Knight was speaking the truth. However, his conscious said otherwise.
He probably did it to get pleasure from her, he thought darkly. He's a liar! Why would anyone love me?
He sprung up from his bed and let out a sob in agony. This was too hard for the pale man to handle. He had a feeling from the very beginning that the Dark Knight would go after another girl. But what if it was true about Barbra? Batman would never kiss anyone else, other than the clown, right? Perhaps, he was not good enough for the hero. He was a problem, being a villain, and all. He should have never gave away his heart and soul to the Dark Knight. It was a good thing that he never said his true name to the man in black. He would probably betray him and arrest him on the spot.
In the back of his mind, the Joker still loved the caped crusader more than anything in this miserable, filthy world. But, he felt that he was not good enough. And it hurt the clown badly to admit it. Why would anyone love a villain?
