Harley was waiting underneath a bridge that was near Wayne Manor. She was waiting for her 'Mister J' to arrive. He had said that he had something to tell her regarding with the caped crusader. Of course, the derby skater knew what this was about. She knew that the Joker had a crush on the man in black. It wasn't too hard to figure out. Harley wondered if the two got together and that is why she has not seen her brother-friend in a while.
Suddenly, someone was walking up to her. A familiar sollute of the Joker could be seen. She roller skated up to the clown and giggled softly as she hugged him.
"Mister J! Long time, no see! How's my boo been?"Joker chuckled and smiled as he hugged back, "I've been amazing, Harl! You won't believe what happened!"
Harley let go of the clown and giggled, skating around in circles and coming to a halt. "I'm all ears, boo!"
Joker nodded and leaned against a wall, smiling at his sister-friend. He then asked, "do you remember when I said that I had a crush on Batsy?"
Harley nodded, gasping like a little fangirl as her idols kissed. She then roller skated to Joker with a grin. "I do, Mister J! You wouldn't get that bat out of your mind for years!"
"I know, Harl," Joker said, making sure that they were totally alone. "I already told you why I was staying at his place. But, there is another reason."
Harley nodded with a smile, folding her arms as she listened to the clown. "Go on! Tell me!"
Joker nodded nervously, intertwining his hands together. He looked up at the female clown and chuckled. A small blush wiped across his pale face. "Well, he admitted that he fell in love with me. And, at first, I didn't believe him. I thought it was some cruel April Fool's joke. But, he did something. And, I loved it."
"He kissed you?" Harley asked, her eyes sparkled as she put her hands on her warm cheeks. "Did he kiss you!?"
The clown chuckled at his friend and shook his head, then nodded. He then said, "he kissed my forehead! But, I don't think we kissed on the lips yet. If we have, I don't remember it."
Harley giggled and hugged the pale man, smiling largely. She then nuzzled her cheek against his forehead, purring softly. "I'm so proud of you, Mister J! See? I told ya' that he would like ya' back! I knew it!"
Joker giggled and hugged Harley back, blushing a bright red. He then smiled big as he said, "I want to go on a date with him. But, I don't know if we will be able to!"
"Is it because of doll-face and Superlame?"
"It's exactly because of them!" Joker exclaimed, flailing his arms around. "He had the audacity to interupt me and Batsy while we were cuddling and starring at the stars! And then, he showed up and gave a poor excuse for an apology!"
Harley's eyes widened as she watched the Joker's face turned red, his eyebrows narrowed downward as he got even angrier. It was rare for the clown to get upset over a different superhero, other than the caped crusader. The female clown never thought that he would be angry over the highly over powered super hero.
"Boo, just calm down. What did he say?" She asked, rubbing his arm gently.Joker growled, "he wanted to be friends with Batsy again after what he did to me! He declined it, thankfully. I had a lot of things to say to that tight-wearing, over powered, dumb looking, unsexy nincompoop!"
Harley nodded, "did you tell him that you didn't like how he treats B-man?"
"I did!" Joker exclaimed with tears in his eyes. "I compared him to a very cruel super villain! He forgets that Batsy even exists, and that makes me so angry! Remember when Riddler almost killed Penguin, but apologized?"
"It took them years to get along again," Harley said, remembering the day Ivy told her that the green wearing villain almost killed the chubby long-nosed male.
"I know!" Joker exclaimed, tears falling down his pale cheeks. "No one should be treated horribly. I know I've done bad things to you and the guys, but I patch things up the best I can! And now look; we're friends again!"
Harley nodded and wiped away the clown's tears with her thumbs, sighing sadly, "I know, boo. You're better than that Superlame for show! I'm glad that you stood up for B-man. He must have thanked you for it, yeah?"
"He did," said Joker with a small smile. He then looked at Harley and sighed softly. "Sorry for venting."
Harley shook her head and smiled reassuringly, "you don't need to apologize, Joker. You have every right to vent. It's good to let out your feelings." She looked at her red and black watch and gasped. It was almost seven o'clock. Harley had a date with her girlfriend in a few minutes! She looked at Joker and hugged him tightly, smiling big.
"I got to go, Mister J. But, if you need anything, call me!""I will! See ya' later, darling!" Joker hollered as Harley began to roller skate quickly to the end of the bridge and giggled, blowing a kiss to the clown before disappearing into the night.
Joker smiled happily as he caught the air kiss. He was so happy to have someone like Harley to talk to. And even more, he was relieved that she loved the fact that the caped crusader and the clown were together. It was perfect.
He sighed as he went through a secret tunnel, heading back to Wayne Manor. What the clown didn't know was that an oddly familiar figure was following him, silently waking behind the clown without a sound. And, without a warning, the figure grabbed the clown by the neck, knocking him out instantly.
