Joker sighed as he laid down on the queen-sized bed, sighing heavily. He remembered the events of earlier and closed his eyes. Robin's scared face flashed over and over. What would have happened if his dear friend passed in front of his eyes? That would have been traumatizing, just like if he saw Superlame kill the caped crusader in front of the freckled face boy. He couldn't forgive the tight wearing super hero for that horrible act of villainy. Especially what he had done to the clown, yet again. However, he understood the situation. He did not tell him, but the clown already knew that the hero had helped kidnap him due to a threat that involved his weakness. However, he was still angry at the hero for helping the Scarecrow, of all people, to try and kill him. And then, he harmed Beast Boy with that sickening syringe. He wondered what Batman must have thought. It must have been terrible for the caped crusader to handle.

His thoughts were interrupted as his beloved superhero walked in, wearing a red robe and his Batman helmet. The Dark Knight sat onto the bed, smiling at the clown as he crawled into his lap. He ran his hand through his green hair, blushing softly. Joker looked up, smiling happily at his beloved superhero.

But as soon as he felt happy, he began to get negative thoughts about him, his love and his son. He wondered if Batman would ever propose to someone as revolting as himself. How would the commissioner react? Would she take him away from his beloved Batsy and Robin?

The rush of anxiety was too much for the dirty night clown. His eyes stung with threatening tears that began to forn in the corners of his acid green eyes. What if his love dumped him for Superlame? Would he try and kill the clown again? How would they explain to the commissioner about their love? Would Batman even think about marrying the clown? Who would want to marry a criminal?

Batman noticed that Joker began to tremble, lifting up the small clown onto his lap. The pale man covered his eyes as more tears began to fall down his flushed, warm cheeks. He removed his hands, making Joker flinch and flushed even more in embarrassment. He kissed his forehead gently, sighing softly.
He then asked, in a soothing voice, "what's wrong, my dear?"

"W-what isn't wrong?" Joker replied, looking down at Batman's nine abs. He sighed shakily, whimpering more. "I-I feel like you will leave me for Superlame one day. I-I'm a little afraid of the commissioner and what she will say about our secret re-relationship. I-I feel like you won't love me after a couple of years."

"What makes you think that? And you, of all people, know that there is no way I would date that schmuck of a hero."

"I-It's just," he sighed, looking down in shame. Joker was thinking of how he should word his true feelings. He did not want to stop dating the man in black, but his anxiety was taking over like a hurricane. More tears fell down his eyes as he imagined Batman being with someone else. Someone who was problem-free and beautiful. Someone attractive and not a villain. Someone not him. But then, he remembered what Batman said about him and the Joker, how they could not live without each other. "I feel like you deserve better," Joker finally said silently. "I-I mean, I love you so very much. But, I'm a problem. Let's face it! You can't tell me that I'm not an issue. I know that you love me, but I feel like you deserve better than some chubby, idio-"

Before Joker said another word, Batman covered the clown's mouth. He sighed and shook his head. "Let me stop you right there, J-bird. I don't need anyone, except you. You know that I love you very much. Heck, I saved your life multiple times because of my affection towards you. The point is, I love you and only you. Other than Robin, of course. I don't give a rat's end if you are chubby or if you think you are ugly. It's not true. You're my sunshine. And, trust me when I say that, you make me very happy. Happier than what Barbra can do. So stop thinking that you're not perfect for me when you are! If anything, I should be saying this to you. You may be deranged and psychotic, but that's what makes you, you!" He removed his hand away from his mouth and kissed Joker on the lips. "I love you."

The clown sighed in relief, smiling softly. He kissed the Dark Knight back, wrapping his arms around his neck as he deepened the kiss. It was not lustful or arousing, it was just an ordinary kiss. A kiss when you say goodbye to your lover when they must return home. A kiss you receive when you say 'yes' to your lover's proposal. But this kiss meant happiness and sadness. It had comfort and care in it. Their lips danced together in perfect rhythm as they continued to kiss, perhaps, even more than that, in the moonlight sky.
