As they managed to pull through successfully, Joker could hear Scarecrow's laughter echo out of the hole. Suddenly, a hook grabbed onto the clown's left leg, making him fall out of the superhero's grasp. Superman gasped in horror as Joker was dragged back into the hole.

"Don't let Bruce come after me!" Joker exclaimed as the hole sealed up once more, leaving the superhero in tights astounded. He laid down the caped crusader and bashed at the closed hole, trying to make it open once again. Tears began to form in the corners of his eyes. He knew that Bruce would question where his beloved was. And, gosh, did he want to tell him. But he knew that the Dark Knight would try and go after his fiance. The state that the fellow hero was in was fatal. There was no way that Batman was going back into the Dark Void.

Then, just when he stopped banging at the sealed up hole, Batman groaned and got up slowly, rubbing his left arm gently in pain. He looked around and growled at the sight of the tight wearing man. He got up, but almost fell.

"What are you doing here, Clark?!" Batman exclaimed in a husky tone, his blue eyes glarring at the hero. "You already caused enough-"

"Damage? I did just like you asked, didn't I? I took care of Joker while you were gone!" Superman exclaimed, his eyes looking into the caped crusader's.

Batman raised an eyebrow, "oh really? Then where is he?!"

"He," Superman looked down at the hole, tears burning in his eyes. "He was dragged back into the Void."

Joker landed onto a wet substance, making his hairs rise up. He groaned and looked around, tears formed in his eyes. He could see a familiar figure walk close to him, bending down to meet at his eye level.

"Welcome back, J-bird," Scarecrow hisses with a low chuckle.

Joker growled and tried to get up on his feet, but was pushed backwards by the 'fellow' villain. He landed on his right side and growled in pain, looking up at the other in terror.
"Don't call me that!"

"Too bad, Jokeste-"

"Jokester? Seriously?"

"Oh, give me a break!" Scarecrow lunged one of his hands at the clown's neck, grabbing it tightly. He grinned as he watched Joker squirm in discomfort. "Bet you're wondering why I got you back here. Well," he looked at the galaxy-like water, grinning at its charms. "I wanted to have a bit of chaos! And who's better at chaos than you?!"

"Why do you want my help?! You tried to kill m-me!" Joker choked, tears beginningto fall from his eyes. "You tried to kill Garfield and Batman!"

Scarecrow grinned and chuckled softly to himself. "Oh, I know. That was a fun day. But, I want you to assist me with my gas cloud! I can't pull it out of this Dark Void all by myself, hmm?"

Joker froze and shook his head. He knew that the doll-like man wanted to destroy Gotham city. It was obvious, of course. Since he was going to be married to the Dark Knight, Joker wanted to 'protect' the city as well. And so, he declined in a firm tone. He knew that the doll-like man would not be pleased with this since it was the Scarecrow, after all. Since when did he take no for an answer?

He growled in anger and threw Joker to the floor, stomping onto his stomach. The clown shrieked in pain, tears falling out of his eyes. Blood treckled down his bottom lip and rolled onto the grey grass beneath himself. He felt limp and lifeless as the Scarecrow continued to beat him with his foot. He was about to give up, until he pulled out his rubber chicken and smacked it against Scarecrow's head. Joker tried to get up, but fell back down.

After a while, the two rival villains stopped as the hole from before began to open up again. Two figures could be seen. Suddenly, an object knocked out the doll-like man instantly, making him fall into the water face first. Joker grabbed the object once it landed onto the grass and smiled happily at it.

The Batarang.
