Shaking his head and giving a low growl, Joker took the table to block off their only exit. The clown knew that he would never hear the end of it from his fiance. But, because of our friendly neighborhood loser arriving and interrupting our story, Joker could not allow the tight wearing man back into his life no matter what. Even though he accepted his apology, the pale man was still annoyed at the self-loving hero. It made the villain's stomach turn and made him feel on the urge of throwing up into a trashcan.

Batman grabbed the clown's waist and picked him off the ground, making him drop a plank of rotted and decaying wood. He chuckled as Joker began to squirm and whine in his grasp. It was rather cute to watch the slightly smaller, chubby pale man freak out or get angry. Whenever Joker's cheeks heated up, the Dark Knight couldn't help but chuckle if it is over a silly little thing.

Putting down the clown quickly, Batman sighed as he pointed to his back, receiving an excited gasp from the other. Joker watched as the man in black squatted downwards and waited for the other to climb on. Which, after a thirty second pause, Joker climbed onto Batman's back, carefully wrapping his arms around his neck. Of course, since Bruce was strong, the clown's weight did not effect him or even made him tip forwards. He kicked and struggled to move the table, but successfully moved it.

Pushing it to the side with his feet, the man in black then walked down the dark corridor, hearing a soft chuckle come from the darkness. He moved onwards, but stopped when a large flash of electricity flashed suddenly in the corner, making the clown whimper. Batman moved onwards and rubbed Joker's ankles in reassurance, calming him down slowly. The clown whimpered as he heard something come from behind the two, making Joker squeak softly. He burried his face into Batman's neck, shivering more and more by the second.

Suddenly, the Dark Knight stopped as he heard a familiar, annoying voice come from the darkness, followed by a burst of laughter. Gun shots could be heard pewing off in the distance. Joker shrieked each time they were set off, making the brave man in black shake his head and roll his blue eyes. He walked closer to the mysterious sounds, only to be stopped by the Joker, yet again.

"You know," he started in a high pitch whisper. "We should just wait until the rescue gaurds find us. Or, even better, I can call Riddler and Penguin with my walkie talkie!"

"And miss two more chapters of butt-kicking? Now way! Reading is good for the eyes. It's fuel for the ol' eyes," Batman said with a small smirk planted across his lips. It was true, though. Action was in his DNA, after all. It was normal for the hero to say such a thing.

The clown thought for a second and bit his bottom lip, pulling out his walkie talkie anyways. He pressed the button to speak into it, hoping thag his friends could hear him. Batman gasped and covered Joker's mouth, grabbing the device and turning it off quickly. He could hear footsteps walking closer to the two. Panic drove into Batman's mind, but calmed himself down as he began to run back to the room from before. It was their only way out of here, and Bruce knew it. But, whoever was down there, was armed. And he didn't want to put Joker into anymore danger, today.

Just before they reached the room, something flew over the two and blocked the way. Batman backed up slightly as Joker's eyes widened in annoyance. Not in terror like a horror film, just in annoyance. The Dark Knight growled at the figure as it walked over to them slowly. He then began to exclaim, "back away, demon! Be gone, demon! Be gone!"

"Hey! I'm not a demon!" The figure exclaimed as he walked closer to Batman, his eyes fixed on the hero's blue, illuminating eyes. Stepping slightly into the light, it was none other then Robin. He looked down at the ground as he circled the floor with the toe of his shoe, biting his lip a little. Well, this was awkward. They both thought it was the annoying superhero that they knew so well. Guess they were wrong.

"Wait, Robin?!" Batman asked, walking over to the freckled face boy slowly. "What the heck are you doing here?! This place is dangerous! How did you even-"

"I snuck through one of Papa's tunnels," Robin cut in, rubbing the back of his neck. "It lead me here. And since Alfred was having a panic attack and Garfield was asleep, I had to see what was going on! Then, mister Superlame told me what happened. And, well, you know the rest!"

Joker looked up and gasped as he heard the sidekick mention about his tunnels. My, how time goes by quickly. A tear of joy went down his left cheek as he smiled happily.
"That's our boy. But, let me guess, Superlame is here."

Robin nodded and fiddled with his hands, looking down at the ground in a little bit of shame. He knew that the overpowered superhero hurt his parents badly, but he cared somewhat about the sidekick. It seemed wrong, but right at the same time.

Batman sighed as he nodded at the boy, giving a small smile to him. He knew that the young boy meant well. And, from the looks of things, no one was with him other than Joker and Batman, of course. After a pause of silence, he spoke up.
"You know the way out of here, right?"

"Nope!" Robin said cheerfully in response, earning groans from his adopted parents. They then began to walk down the corridor slowly, but a little quickly. The clown chuckled at the boy and let one hand hold Robin's hand, gripping it tightly in his grasp. The villain, hero, and the sidekick then walked down the long corridor, coming to a spilt path. One lead to the left where a yellow, dim light could be seen. The second lead to the left. An orange, dim light shined brightly as if it were trying to be an odd version of the shining sun in the sky.

The question that the three had lingered into their minds like a cliff hanger in a fanfiction: which way should they go; left or right?
