Chapter 45 - Jack Dalton

Hi! I'm back! And I'm back with a person that I haven't written for before. Jack Dalton! He's from MacGyver (2016 reboot) and I hope that you will like this one! Thanks to Writergirl983 for requesting! Hope you like this one!
The request: Jennifer and Jack are married and they both work for the Phoenix Foundation. Jennifer is 9 months pregnant and therefore she stays home when Jack and Mac goes out on a mission. She goes in to birth while Jack is on his way home and soon baby Dalton is here.

"Babe, you need to go. We'll be fine." I said, chuckling when my husband didn't want to leave to go on a mission since I'm ready to pop soon. "Fine." He said and kissed me and at the same time sounding defeated and with that he boarded the plane with Mac, Bozer and Riley. I got in to my car and drove to the foundation. I was met by Maddie when I walked in and sat down, slightly out of breath and holding my stomach as I could feel the baby kick. "You good, Jen?" Maddie asked. "Yeah, I just-" I cut my self off as I felt something wet trickle down my legs. "My water just broke." I whispered in a scared voice. "C'mon, I'll drive you to the hospital!" She said and guided me out of there.

My phone rang interrupting Mac in the middle of an sentence. "It's Maddie." I said and put it on speaker. "What's up?" I asked. "Jack! You need to get back here NOW!" Maddie screamed at me through the phone. "What? Why?" I asked, confused as to why she wanted me back so soon after I left. "It's Jennifer, she's going in to labor." No. No, this can't be happening. Not now. I can't miss my child's birth. "I'm on my way." With that we all packed up our things and drove as fast as we could to the jet. Luckily the mission wasn't that far away so it only took us 40 minutes to get there. I ran up to the desk when we got to the hospital. "I need to see my wife. Jennifer Dalton, she's giving birth." I said, out of breath. "Room 312, sir." The nurse said and I ran there too. I could hear her screams as I came closer and when I got in I just sat there and let her squeeze the life out of my hand.

I screamed as another contraction hit me but I promised my self to not give birth until Jack was here. As if God could read my mind Jack stepped in to the room and held my hand. "Alright, I need you to push, Mrs.Dalton." 20 minutes later and our little girl was finally out. As the nurse gave me our daughter, Jack went to get the rest of the team. "Oh my god! She's so cute!" Riley exclaimed when she first saw her. Jack sat next to me and held my hand. "What's her name?" Mac asked. Jack looked at me as we hadn't decided a name yet but as I looked at our daughter I just knew. "Julia Maria Dalton." I answered with a smile as I looked in to my husbands eyes. "I love it." He said. "Almost as much as I love you." He then added. "I love you more. Now, do you want to hold your daughter or not?" He nodded and I gave Julia to him. As I watched him hold her I could feel myself getting more and more tired and soon I drifted to sleep. Just before I fell a sleep I could hear Mac and Jack talking. "You seem happy man." Mac said. "Yeah, I am. I'm also the luckiest guy on in the whole wide world because I got a bad ass wife and a even more bad ass daughter." And then I fell a sleep with a smile on my face.

I watched as Jennifer was fast asleep and Julia was asleep in my arms. I smiled to my self thinking how lucky I was. I also thought about what would have happened if I never spilled my coffee on her that Tuesday morning? Or if i never had the guts to ask her out? But here we are and i couldn't be more happy.
