Chapter 70 - Steve McGarrett

The request: You and Steve are dating and you work for NCIS. One day his team comes to DC to help your team with a case but no one knows that you and Steve are dating, read to find out how everyone finds out.

When your phone rang and you saw that it was Steve you immediately smiled softly. "New man newbie?" Tony asked. No matter how long you had been with them he still called you 'newbie'. "Nah, just an old man." You said and winked to him before answering Steve. "Hey." Was all you said as you stood up and walked away. "You alone?" He asked. "Yeah, you?" You asked, sounding serious before chuckling lightly when he told you that he was indeed alone. "What's up?" You asked. "I just got a call from a special agent Tim McGee." You looked back at where McGee sat and glared at him a little before turning around and stared out the window again. "Really? About what?" You asked him. "He said that your team needs our help with an investigation that you're currently investigating so surprise! I'm coming to DC." You would have been happier if it had meant that you could just spend some alone time but now you had to pretend not to know each other. "Y/N?" You heard Steve's voice come through the phone and you snapped out of your thoughts. "I'm here, I'm here. Just thinking that we're not gonna be able to act like we know each other. You know I'm not ready to tell my team that I'm dating someone." You also didn't want it to interfere with the investigation. "Yeah, I know, that sucks. But, at least we'll be able to spend some alone time after the case is over." You could practically hear him wink at you while he said that. "Y/L/N!" You turned around as you heard Gibbs call your name. "Shit, babe I gotta go, love you." You hung up before he could answer. "Something important?" He asked and you shook your head. "So, as I was saying, we are gonna have the task force from Hawaii help us out on this case." Gibbs stopped talking and McGee started talking. "I spoke to lieutenant commander Steve McGarrett and he said that they should be here tomorrow morning." Your heart fluttered a bit when you heard his name but quickly shook your head in an attempt to get rid of all thoughts of him. True to Steve's word he, Danny, Chin and Kono all arrived next morning. After we had all been introduced it had proved to be harder than I thought to pretend not to know Steve. We were all divided in to teams and luckily I got Steve. Maybe this isn't going to be that horrible.
    Skip the case/investigation because I suck.
                               S T E V E
I had Y/N pinned up against the wall just outside of the morgue and Abby's lab. We were so wrapped up in our kissing hat we didn't hear anyone walk up to us before we heard a cough. We scrambled away from each other and turned around to see who had caught us. "I'm so telling Gibbs!" Abby said as she started to maker her way towards the elevator. "Abby! Don't you dare tell him!" Y/N hissed at her. "Too late!" She exclaimed while the elevator doors were closing. "C'mon." Y/N said softly and gently tugged at my hand. "We're gonna take the stairs." She said. Since we can't go faster than a elevator, especially not in a staircase, we got to up to everyone else just as Abby had finished telling everyone what she had seen. After a lecture from Danny on my part and one from Gibbs on Y/N's part they told us that they were happy for us. I kissed her  forehead softly before whispering in her ear, "I told you that they would take it relatively good." The soft laugh that escaped her lips is forever gonna be one of my favorite sound.
