"Victoria!" I scream out when the masked guy punched her in the face. He smirked at me before opening his mouth. "I hope you know that this is your fault." He says before turning back to Victoria and placing his gun against her forehead. My heart beat started to beat faster right when he pulled the trigger. "NO!"
I shot up from my bed where I had been sleeping just a few seconds ago, drenched in sweat. My heart felt like it was gonna beat out of my chest and I couldn't seem to get air into my lungs. I slipped the covers of of me and walked towards the patio where I could finally suck in a deep breath. I leaned against the railing and thought back to the dream, how close it came to being reality just a few days ago. Me, Jack, Riley and Victoria had been on a mission somewhere in South Africa when me and Vi had been kidnapped. Luckily enough Jack came in right when they were about to kill us. "Mac?" I felt a hand on my shoulder and before my brain registered who it was I flipped the person over my shoulder on to the ground. "Oh god. I'm so sorry." I said as I scrambled away from Victoria as she coughed, trying to get the air back into her lungs. I buried my head in between my legs with tears running down my face. "Mac?" "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." I whispered but I wasn't sure she could hear me. "It's okay, baby." She sat down next to me and rubbed my back. "You wanna tell me what's going on?" She said softly. "I-I had a-a nightmare and you-you died." I stuttered out, voice cracking at the end. "It's okay, baby. I'm right here. I'm alive. See?" She took my hand and placed it on her chest. "You feel that? That's my heartbeat. I'm alive, baby." I managed to calm down a little bit.

I felt him calm down just a little but he was at least a little bit calmer now. He was still crying though. "Shh, baby. I'm right here, it's going to be okay." I took his head and placed it in my lap and started to massage his scalp and run my fingers through his blonde locks. "I'm never going to leave you, okay? I love you too much for that. And besides I can't leave you alone with Jack now can I?" I felt his small laugh and smiled softly. "And Bozer and Riley? How will they manage to get on with out me? They practically rely on me you know? I'm the mom in this group and I swear to god I wouldn't change it for anything in the world. I love all of you guys, but most importantly, I love you the most." I places a kiss on his forehead and sighed in relief when I noticed that he had calmed down completely now. "I love you too." He said and I smiled but it soon turned into a yawn. "I love you and all but can we please go to bed now?" I asked and he nodded so we went to bed and he didn't wake up until our alarm rang in the morning.
