Chapter 96 - Abby Sciuto (NCIS)

The request: You work as a detective in Hawaii on the five-0 task force and one day the NCIS team come to help you with a case and a certain woman catches your eyes.

You and the rest of the Five-0 team were standing around all the computers that you had as you looked through the crime scene photos and waited for Steve to come out from his office, where he was on the phone with the governor. "What do you think he's talking about in there?" You asked Danny. "I don't know but it looks like we're about to find out." He said as Steve walked out of his office. "So?" You asked him. "Apparently there have been more cases like this one on the mainland so the governor is sending some team who has been dealing with those cases." Steve answered. "What team?" Danny asked. "NCIS." Steve answered. "They should be here tomorrow so why don't we all just go home and get some sleep." Steve said and we all nodded and said goodbye.
The next day
You walked in to the Five-0 headquarters and dropped your bag in your office before joining the rest of the team at the center of the room. "So, any idea when they're gonna be here?" You asked as you couldn't see anyone new there. Before anyone could answer you heard the door open and five people walked in. After the introductions you felt yourself glancing over a lot to the the scientist girl that had been introduced as Abby. "-so we haven't had that much forensic stuff to go on but with what your team found at the last crime scene we got an ID." You heard Abby finish and realized that you had been zooming out while you were staring at her. You felt a slight blush creep onto your cheeks as Steve directed who was gonna partner with who, you partnering up with one of the NCIS people, Tony. "So, let's go." You said to Tony and you walked off towards your car.

I watched as detective Y/L/N or Y/N as she had insisted that we call her, walked away and I could definitely say that she looked good. "So, which one?" Someone asked behind me and I jumped before turning around to see that it was five-0's tech guy, Jerry. "Which one what?" I asked. "Which one is it that you like? Usually everyone gets a small crush on Steve when they first meet him." He said and I shook my head. "No, nope, definitely not crushing on lieutenant commander McGarrett." I said and he looked at me with a skeptical eye before his face lit in a big smile. "You like Y/N, don't you?" Before I could even answer he continued. "In that case, I think she likes you too. I saw how she was looking at you." Yet again I didn't have the time to answer as my computer dinged and his phone rang and we went back to work.

You had all just returned to the palace after that you had put the perp in the cell and you were walking up the stairs next to Tony, who you weirdly had a lot in common with. "So, Y/L/N how about you and me go out for a drink before we fly back to D.C?" Tony asked you. "Sorry, but I already have my eye on someone and besides your not exactly my type." You said and gave him a small smile and started to walk up the stairs again but Tony wouldn't take no for an answer. "Oh, yeah? What's your type then?" He asked and you stopped walking at turned around to look at him once again before you answered, "Women." Seeing that Tony wasn't gonna say anything more you continued to walk up the stairs and towards your office where you could see a certain Abby standing. "Can I help you with something?" You asked when you entered your office.

"Can I help you with something?" Y/N asked as she entered, well her office. God, this was a stupid idea, and why do they need to have glass offices? Now everyone's gonna see me making a fool of myself if she doesn't like me back. "Abby? Are you okay?" I heard her voice and realized I never answered her question why I was in her office. "Right, Yeah, sorry. Im good, um I just wanted to ask you something." I said and I wanted to slap myself. "Okay, shoot." She said with a small smile that made my heart flutter. "Well, I - I was just wondering if you um maybe would like to um grab a drink with um with me." I stuttered out and my hands got really sweaty as I awaited her response. Finally after what felt like an eternity but what was like really three seconds she answered. "I would really like that, actually." She said and I wasn't sure if I heard her right. "Really?" I asked her. "Really." She said and nodded with a big smile. "Let me just grab my bag and we can go now if you want?" She asked and I smiled. "Yeah." I answered and we walked out her office holding hands. "See you tomorrow!" She called out to her team who all replied before we went to her car. I really hope this works out for the best because I haven't felt like this about someone in a long time.
