Hello! Before I get onto the one shot, this is my 100th chapter! Wow! I didn't think that I would ever write this many chapters in this book (and I have more coming!) Do you think that it's confusing with this many chapters? And more coming? Please let me know if that's the case! Also, thank you for 97 thousand reads!! The request: Steve and his daughter, Lucy, go camping, what could possibly go wrong? (Answer: everything goes wrong) Read to find out what.

⚠️ This storyline is a little bit like the one in season 3 episode 10 of Hawaii Five-0 since this one shot is based of that episode,  just so you know, if you recognize it. ⚠️

"Luce! Are you ready?" I called out from where I stood at the front door, all our packing at my feet, while I waited for Lucy. Soon enough I heard footsteps running towards me and Lucy appeared right in front of me. "I'm ready, daddy!" She exclaimed and smiled, showing of her teeth and a hole where one of her front tooth had been. "Great, then you take your backpack and I'll get the rest in the car and we'll be off!" I said and she nodded excitingly and ran to the car and got in. We had been driving for a while now, with Lucy singing along to the whole "Beauty and the Beast" soundtrack, when I noticed a car that seemed to be following us. I shook the thought out of my head since I was on vacation. I was with my daughter, not at work. It was probably a family that was also going camping. Soon enough we had reached our destination and the car had gone away. "Are we here?" Lucy asked excited and I nodded. She opened the door and ran out of the car. "Luce! Be careful!" I screamed out as I pulled the tent of the car and began putting it up.
Later at night
I was half asleep, half awake when I felt someone shake my shoulder. "What's going on?" I asked Lucy. "I need to use the bathroom." She said and I nodded and got out with her. "You can go over there and I'll wait for you here, okay?" She nodded and ran away. "Luce! You done?" I yelled out after it had been a few minutes. I didn't get an answer. "Luce?!" I yelled out once more and just when I was about to go I over to where she was she came forward. "God, Lucy. Don't scare me like that okay?" I asked and that's when I notice she had tears running down her face. "What's wrong?" I asked. "The bad man said that I couldn't answer you. I'm sorry." She said and broke down sobbing and I collected her in my arms. "What do you mean bad man?" I asked but before she could answer I heard the unmistakable sound of someone cocking a gun. I slowly stood up, Lucy still in my arms, and raised my head till I saw a man standing maybe ten feet from us. I recognized him from the car that was following us when we drove here earlier today. "What do you want?" I asked and the guy smiled. He wasn't wearing a mask which wasn't a good thing. "I need your help to find something and Lucy here said that you were a navy SEAL so you're gonna help me. Or she dies."

"Or she dies." The bad man said and I let out more tears. "Daddy, I'm scared." I mumbled against his shirt and he just hugged med harder. "I know sweetie. I'm gonna get you out of here okay? I've got a plan." He said and looked at the bad man and when he realized he couldn't hear us he continued. "The satellite phone in my pocket, I want you to grab that and then run away okay? Run as far as you can okay and when you're far far away I want you to call uncle Danny. Okay? Can you do that for me?" I nodded and more tears ran down my face. "I don't want to leave you dad." I cried and he kissed my forehead. "I'm gonna be fine, just get the phone, okay?" He said and I nodded, reaching to grab the phone. Daddy put me down on the ground. "Run." He said and I started to run in the other direction. I ran as long as I could before I called uncle Danny. "Steve? What's up?" He said when he picked up. "Uncle Danny, you gotta help daddy." I sobbed out so it's a wonder he even heard what I said. "Lucy? What's wrong? Where's Steve?" He asked and I sobbed even more. "The bad man took him." Was all I got out. "Me and the team are on our way to you right now, Lucy okay? Can you tell me anything about what the bad man wanted?" Danny asked and I thought about what the bad man had said before. "He needed some help finding something and since daddy's a SEAL I thought he could help." A few tears ran down my face. "It's all my fault." I sobbed into the phone. "Hey, no. Luce this is absolutely not your fault. Okay?" Danny said and I nodded, forgetting I was on the phone with him. "We're coming, honey, we're coming."
A few hours later, the bad man has been arrested

I had come out of the whole ordeal rather okay. I only had a cut over my right eyebrow that was bleeding and a few bruises here and there but it could be worse. I could be dead. In fact I was right about to be executed when Danny and the guys showed up. He even had me on my knees after he found what he was looking for, his diamonds. But it could be even worse. Lucy could be dead and I don't know what I would do with myself if that happened. Speaking of Lucy, Danny was currently leading me to where she was. The woods opened up and we came out on a big open patch of grass filled with cop cars and an ambulance. It was day now so it was really bright. I looked around all over the place until I spotted Lucy talking to a police officer. I started running. "Lucy! Luce!" I exclaimed and her head whipped up and looked around until her eyes landed on me and she took of running. I stoped just in time to catch her as she jumped into my arms. "I was so scared for you and I missed you so much, daddy." She sobbed into my neck. "I know, baby girl, I missed you too. And look, I'm okay." I said and kissed her on the forehead. It would be a while until we went camping again.
