Timer Soulmate AU! It's kinda short, sorry
Also, I just created a drawing account! If you want to check it out, it's in my Instagram bio
Jeremy glanced nervously at his timer. He'd been looking forward to this day for years, but now that it was here, he was scared.
What if his soulmate hates him? What if they're disappointed? What if his soulmate... was mean?
Jeremy had heard about bad soulmates before, and he knew that with his luck, he'd get one.
So he reluctantly put on something nice, hoping to make a good impression. Maybe they won't be mean. Maybe... maybe they like retro stuff, and video games, and-!
No, stop Jeremy. Don't get yourself hype over something that will never happen. Jeremy told himself.
He looked in the mirror, willing himself to have some sort of confidence.

"Jeremy! Jeremy Jeremy Jeremy Jeremy!"Jeremy couldn't fight back his smile as Christine ran up to him excitedly. "Yes? That's my name, but I think you wore it out."
"Jeremy! Holy fudge, there's a new student! And he's hot."
"Wait, really?" Jeremy asked, his fears going away before coming right back. "Awe shit, do I look okay?"
"You look amazing! Now let me see your wrist."
Jeremy held out his wrist for Christine, and she let out a gasp. "Omg it's totally him."
"How can you be so sure?"
" I checked his schedule and helped him to his first period. But when I was checking I realized you two have third together, and your timer should go off right before third period!"
"Oh shit. Oh fu-fudge. What am I gonna do?"
"Uh, met your soulmate? Duh." Jeremy glared at Christine, and she backed down. "Okay, okay I'll prepare you emotionally and mentally during second. I promise."

Jeremy ran over everything Christine had told him, silently repeating the calming tactics in his head.
Suddenly, he bumped directly into someone, and their books went flying out of their hands.
"Awe shit, I'm so sorry. I was distracted, I'm so sorry." Jeremy grabbed the books closet to him, getting them neat.
"No, no, it's okay. I wasn't looking either, and I just-" The boys stopped once they made eye contact, frozen in awe as their timers went off.
"So, uh, I guess, I guess we're soulmates?" Jeremy mumbled quietly.
"I guess so." The boy stood up with a wink, grabbing the books from Jeremy's hand and helping him stand. "My names Michael Mell."
"Jeremy. Jeremy uh, Heere. Nice to, to met you, soulmate." Jeremy said, his fears slipping away.
