I just want to say... I'm with Michael on this one.
"So... why are you getting a divorce? Again?"
Jeremy huffed, putting his hands on his hips. "Michael, tell Christine what you said to me this morning."
"Uh... Star Trek is better than Star Wars? Because it is?"
"There! Right there! Did you hear that? I can't stand to be with someone who believes in that."
"Understandable." Jake said, leaning on his crutches. "I think a divorce is reasonable, Jeremy."
Rich kicked Jake lightly in the shin, glaring at his boyfriend.
"Are you kidding me? No way. If anything, Micha should be filing for divorce. Star Trek is better." Brooke protested, earning a high five from Michael.
"Guys, come on. Why can't you guys just like both?" The group glared at Christine, shooting deadly looks.
"Did you just say that? To a Treky?"
"Yeah, there's no way we can ever like that piece of trash."
Michael, Rich, and Brooke gasped. "How dare-"
"Okay! That's it." The group backed down as Christine stepped in the middle of the group. "Movie night. My house. We will watch one movie from each 'tribute'. There won't be a winner, but I'm forcing you guys to... to... branch out. Try new things!"
"Can we dress up in costumes?" Brooke asked hesitantly.
"Uh, duh. My house. Seven. See you guys later!" Christine bounced off, happily skipping away as the group dispersed.
"Brooke. I see you dressed up as... someone."
"Her name is Uhura, so shut the fuck up."
Jake rolled his eyes, stepping to the side so Brooke could get in.
"Loving the Black. Very... school shooter chic."
"Yeah, right? I'm dressed as Kylo." Jake brushed his hair back, giving off his 'charming vibe' while Brooke rolled her eyes.
"Where are the newly divorced?" Brooke asked.
"In the living room. Fighting about what movie should be watched first. Come on, you're the last one here."
Jeremy and Michael stood in the center of the room. When Michael saw Brooke, he smiled wide. "Ah, Ms.Uhura! Nice of you to join us."
"Thank you, Captain Kirk."
"Okay, that's enough. We're starting with 'The Last Jeti', and ending with 'Star Trek Beyond.' Okay?" Christine glanced at the group. When she got no negative response she smiled. "Alright! Let's get started! Oh! Also no bad mouthing a movie that isn't on your side. Try not to talk, unless you're explaining something to the opposing side. Good luck, and may the odds be ever in your favor!"
"Holy shit."
"Right? I told you Star Trek is amazing."
"Just... wow."
"I know. Okay. Well, uh," Michael glanced over at Jeremy, taking his hand. "And uh, I know I said some shit about Star Wars, but it's actually not as bad as I thought."
"Ditto, but for Star Trek." Jeremy said, smiling wide. "It was actually pretty good."
"So... no more divorce?" Christine asked.
Jeremy smiled lovingly at Michael, nodding his head. "I love you."
Michael smiled softly at Jeremy, leaning in to kiss him.
"I know."
