Why the heck did everyone want a part two. My dudes. Why tho

Also it's a tiny bit angsty wHoOps

Connor held out his hand, and after a moments hesitation, Evan accepted it. Connor pulled him up, pulling him close to his chest. Evan awkwardly laughed, and gently pushed himself away to get his balance.

"Well! I'm so glad we got to pair up two soulmates!" Their principal smiled, clapping their hands together. "Now get going love birds, class is starting soon!"

"Thank you Mx. Smith!" Alana said happily, already lovey dovey over her soulmate, Zoe.

Connor smiled wide, staring deep into Evans eyes. He bowed slightly, winking at him. "So Prince, where to first?"

"Oh! Well, we have physics after lunch, have you eaten lunch? Do we need to get you lunch? Do you have your supplies? What if we-"

"I have everything I need sweetheart. Don't worry about me." Connor held Evans hand as Evan guided them to their physics class.

"So... am I ever going to figure out your name, or is it a secret?" Connor asked jokingly after a moments silence.

"Oh! I'm uh, I'm Evan. Evan Hansen."

"Please to met you. So, are we gonna change my last name, or yours? Or do a fun little combo?" Connor asked, pretending to be serious.

Evans laugh was angelic, and filled the empty hallway. "Nah, let's just change our last names to like... Jones. Be , uh, be original."

"That's not original at all!"

The boys continued laughing, with true happiness filling them for once in their lives.

"Mom?"

Jared's mom perked up, putting down her fork. "Yes sweetheart? Is the pork not cooked enough? Needs more flavoring? I thought it needed more flavoring..."

"No, not that." Jared looked down at his wrist under the table. The green 0:00 was staring back at him, guiltily. "Why is my timer broken? Why couldn't I met a soulmate? Why couldn't I have a soulmate?"

His mothers worried faced turned to one of guilt. "Oh. It's the soulmate thing."

"Mom?"

"Jared, I'm sorry."

"No mom, it's not your fault." Jared got out of his seat and moved next to his mom. "It's not your fault. My timers just a bitch, you know? But it's okay-"

"No, Jared. It is my fault. Along with Mrs.Hansen. We were just trying to protect you, but-"

"Mom? What did you do?" Jared asked, trying to keep the anger from his voice.

"When you were a little baby, I took you to the park. We were on our own even then." She said, motioning to the empty seats at the diner table. "You wanted to play on the sand, so we did. And this nice young lady walked over with her little baby." She trailed off, taking a deep breath.

"Her name was Heidi Hansen. Her son was Evan Hansen. We... we had to become friends... especially after..."

"After what?"

"Your timer went off. But Evans didn't. At first we thought that it was because he didn't look into your eyes, but... he did. He did." Jared tried to comfort his mom, but he was falling part too.

"We told you it was broken. It's not."

"No, it's not." Jared said, standing up. "I am."

"Jared-" Him mom said, pleading with him to stay.

"Thanks for dinner mom. It tasted wonderful."
