Inspired by the song Eastside, tiny bit of angst I guess? Idk

"Do you remember when we were kids?"

Michael paused the game, turning back to Jeremy. "How could I forget? Dude, I fell in love with you in like, kindergarten. I remember everything."

"You used to sneak into my room." Jeremy said quietly. "Dad was always pissed."

"But he likes me now, doesn't he?" Michael said, trying to lighten up the mood. When he still didn't get a response, he lowered his voice. "Hey, what's wrong?"

"You used to take me to the Eastside. We'd ride in your moms car and hold hands, hoping no one saw us. We would drive down to the coast and just... relax."

"Yeah baby. We did."Michael shift so he was facing his boyfriend. "Are you okay?"

"And, and when we were seventeen, we had, we had planned everything out. What we'd name our kids, who'd be the godparents... everything."

"Things don't always go as planned, Jere. I mean, I would have thought that we'd always be friends with Christine, but things change." He tried to study his boyfriends face, but Jeremy turned away again. "Is that what this is about? Christine?"

"Being an adult is... it's so much more pressure than I ever thought it would be." Jeremy finally turned to Michael, tears falling down slowly.

"I know, baby." Michael said softly, pulling Jeremy into his lap while he cried. "I know. But we can get through this, Okay? We can. We can survive. We will do more than survive. Everything will be okay, as long as we're together, okay?"

Michael could feel Jeremy nod his head, and he smiled weakly. "Do you... do you wanna go back to the Eastcoast?"

A mumbled 'please' was Jeremy's reply.
