There was a concert being held at your local arena and your favorite singer, Matsuno Ichimatsu, was going to be performing live as part of his world tour. You were beyond ecstatic because, hey, who on earth could afford those pricey tickets? Not you, but you managed to scrap up as much money as you could when his world tour was announced three months prior. It already took excessive working to pay your house bills, but you were determined to see him in concert. How did you manage? You received a side job in a high paying café down the street that gave you about 6 dollars an hour. Now, 3 months totaled to around 90 days all together and the ticket was $600 (including the meet and greet). Insane price, yes, but anything to see this idol. You spent quite some time calculating to come to the conclusion that you would have to work a grand total of 100 hours in order to save up enough money. So, you worked two hours everyday of the week (from 8 pm to 10 pm), allowing you to receive your desired pay within 50 days. On top of your regular full time job, this was difficult, but you managed.
You were glad and actually purchased the final ticket, rendering other fans' savings for the tickets to useless. You'd say that you felt bad but... You really didn't. Blood, sweat, and tears went into seeing this concert and you weren't letting anyone take that from you.
Thus, you went to the concert and the entire event was amazing! Once it reached the end of the concert, you were disappointed, but the energy was still present in the arena.
You and your fellow fans cheered and screamed at the top of your lungs as the vocaloid on stage sang the final note for his hit song, "Love me, Love me, Love me". The last pitch was extremely clear and resonated through the concert arena with such clarity. Glow sticks were being launched everywhere and some of the girls around you were even ugly crying over the man on stage. The whole electric-like atmosphere had everyone pumped up and begging for an encore. The vocaloid, however, denied the offer and waved goodbye to his fans, going back stage to set up for a meet and greet. Everyone in that auditorium frowned in disappointment, but proceeded to fight each other to go to the meet and greet.
Some people even went as far as to steal backstage passes from other people, but luckily, yours was tucked safe and sound in your zipped up jacket pocket. With this in mind, you politely shimmied through the endless crowd of violent fan girls and to locate the backstage entrance. It took you quite a while since you found yourself to be lost and really didn't want to ask anyone for help. At one point, you ended up in the men's bathroom which you later discovered was not even close to backstage. Yet, you eventually found it and when you did, you realized you were the last person in a really long line.
You didn't exactly know what was taking so long since meet and greets were usually just a simple greeting and an autograph. You sighed in annoyance knowing that by the time you arrived at the table, the star whom you were dying to see would be worn out from everyone and just rush through you. The girl in front of you noticed your distress and offered you a heart-warming smile.
"Would you like to step ahead of me?" She asked, making you internally gasp at her kind gesture.
You politely declined the offer. "No thanks...! I know your probably dying to get there as soon as possible just like everyone else, so I don't want to delay your meeting time!"
"Oh..! No problem!" She smiled once again and went back to her conversation with her friend.
You ended up standing in that line for an excessive amount of time, needing desperately to use the bathroom. For you we're hungry, thirsty, and in need of a restroom. However, you knew you were so close to the front of the line and if you left, the vocaloid may have left without you getting to meet him. So, you waited in line to avoid that chance. Once it was your turn, you realized you'd been right about the attitude of the man you were hoping to see. He looked tired and beyond ready to leave; he even stood up to go without noticing you until staff said something to him.
"Ichimatsu! You missed someone! Just one more person!" One of the backstage workers beamed, tapping the man on the shoulder.
Ichimatsu turned around and looked as though he was about to pass out when he spotted you before him. You tilted your head to the side, making the tips of his ears burn up. The man didn't sit down but instead walked closer towards you, making your smile grow wider. He held his hand out for you to shake and you stiffened, not really expecting such forwardness. Noticing you weren't grabbing his hand, he reached further out and grasped yours in a hand shake.
"What's your name...?" He asked after a moment, the backstage staff leaving to go clean up the arena.
You flinched, not expecting him to ask such a question. "M-my name? It's (y/n)! And yours?"
You mentally facepalmed.
"WAIT! I'm sorry! That was really stupid of me to ask! I already know your name!" You nervously laughed, rubbing the back of your neck with a cheeky grin.
The man simply chuckled at your actions, finding your personality to be rather entertaining. "It's all good..."
The two of you awkwardly stood there, you rocking back and forth on your heels. For some reason, the two of you had no idea what to do or say. You expected him to just give you an autograph and make you leave, but it seemed as though he wanted to make conversation.
"I-If it makes it easier for you, I can just have you autograph something and I'll leave! I don't want to make you uncomfortable...!" You insisted, handing him an autograph book you had and a pen.
He snapped out of his trance with wide eyes before furrowing his brows with a grunt. "Yeah sure."
You nodded awkwardly and watched as he signed away in your book. It actually took him a little while before he handed it back to you with his mask now over his face. He looked rather pink to say the least.
"Thank you!" You told, looking at your paper and reading the note in your head.
"(Y/n),
I think you're pretty decent compared to other people. If it's okay, I'd like to meet you for lunch sometime? Sorry. I probably sound like a creepy piece of trash, but please consider it. My number is ***********... Nice meeting you!
-Ichimatsu"
Your mouth was now agape in shock, not believing what you saw before you. Your favorite idol... asked you on a date? Impossible! You looked up to thank him only to see that there was nobody there.
"Ichimatsu?" You looked around for a few minutes before giving up and leaving the arena with a dorky smile plastered on your face.
You laughed as you looked at the note once again. "I'm definitely calling him later."
