[A/n: Yet again ANOTHER one shot from my old Various x Reader]

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You sighed as you tinkered on your machine and put on the finishing touches. This was it. Today was the day it would work and you would finally be recognized for doing something great! Today, you were going to travel back in time and make yourself known! All your hard work would finally pay off and you could prove everyone that doubted you wrong. Every hateful word and every critique would all be turned down and disproven! It was an exciting thought for you to finally get the recognition you rightfully deserved. In the science community, you were labeled as "hopeless" and "vacuous", but that would all change! You'd be the hope and you'd be seen as smart for once!
A knock on your workshop door an snapped you out of your thoughts, causing you to flinch and drop your hammer. With a groan, you picked it up off the ground and made your way over to the entrance where someone was waiting for you to answer them. You opened the door to be greeted by your boyfriend who didn't even say 'hi' but instead just looked around at your workspace.
"I see you've made quite a mess...." He told, noticing the black explosion stain from when one of your machines blew up in a malfunction.
You remember the day that happened; it was actually very recent. As usual, you were working on inventions, this one being one that could make transportation faster and more convenient. You called it the 'Flying Car'. When you had completed its construction, you were absolutely ecstatic to test it out! But the second you turned on the engine, it caught flames and burst, the whole machine bursting and making your 96 hours of straight work useless.
"Haha yeah... You know me! Always making messes!" You nervously laughed, placing your hammer on the table as he entered your makeshift lab (it was just the garage but nobody needed to know that).
"Are you almost done with that surprise project? I'm assuming it's behind that curtain?" He pointed to the sparkly green cloth in the corner of the garage, trotting over to it.
You nodded in reply, "I actually just finished and tested it. I think it actually may work!"
"I hope so.... What is it anyways?"
You walked over to the curtain beside him and gave the most dramatic dialogue, "Behold your eyes, Choromatsu! For this is the greatest thing you will ever see! I give you, the first fully functioning..... TIME MACHINE!"
He raised a brow, "Are you actually serious? There's no way this could work. It defies science and common logic!"
He sounded just like everyone else at your work that would always doubt you. None of your machines ever worked 100%, but you had a strong faith in this specific machine. You just wished everyone felt the same way.
You groaned, "Nice to know my own boyfriend doesn't have faith in me. I said I already tested it and it works. Why won't you just believe me?"
He sighed and ran his fingers over some buttons on the machine, "Because. You can't say it works if you haven't tried it out with yourself as a subject!"
"Oh please. That's like calling the Water Cycle false just because I'm not a water droplet!" You scoffed at the man, stepping into the machine, "If you're so skeptical and have a lack of faith in my studies, then come and test it out with me."
"No way! What if it blows up?" He flinched back, holding his hands up defensively.
"It doesn't!" You yanked him inside, strapping him in so he couldn't escape the seat. He squirmed and tried to escape, only to fail in the process. Eventually he gave up on trying and just sat there.
