The title should be pretty self explanatory, so do I need to put a warning here?

This was requested by an irl friend that didn't want me to put their Wattpad profile on here so-

Italics means the words are spoken in English.

Normal font is in Japanese.

-Karamatsu's Pov-

There's a student that I teach that lately I've grown rather concerned for. I knew that this girl had never attended a school in this area until she moved here, so she started high school here in Tokyo. She's rather beautiful and an extremely bright young lady intelligence wise (I'm not trying to sound like I'm falling head over heels for a student, I'm just concerned here).

I, Matsuno Karamatsu, teach English 1, 2, 3, and 4 at this high school since I am the only English teacher. I guess it's rewarding since I get to see most of the same students grow through the years they are in my class. Though, something about this student I am addressing has seemed a bit off since the beginning of last year.

Her name is (y/n) (l/n) and as said before, she has a lot going for her. She's passed every test in this class with the highest scores she could muster! That's pretty impressive since most of the students in my four classes like to slack off... Anyways, she'd always be the student that people would ask when they needed help on assignment and she'd gladly do so! Though recently, she's been more reserved than usual and hasn't been her bubbly, friendly self. She even seems almost.... depressed. Though, I could be wrong, I still think there is something up with this girl. I intend to find out.

-Your POV-

You walked into your English class, early as usual, staring at your feet the entire way to your desk. Your hand clutched fiercely at the sleeve of your hoodie at the same time. The arms that were covered were in great amounts of pain due to marks you inflicted upon yourself that morning. However, you failed to notice a pair of eyes that were practically glued to you and watching your every move.

It hadn't always been this large of an issue, but recently, people have been teasing you and bullying you more frequently. They always made comments telling you that you were 'worthless' and that everyone would be better off if you just ended your life. What's sad is that you actually started believing them. Your friends turned on you and you were left alone with nobody to talk to and that's why you resorted to doing what you did. It was like your coping mechanism, not the best option obviously, but how else could you cope safely if there was nobody to help you do so?

The very thought made you start tearing up.

"Ah! Good morning, (y/n)!"

The voice of your teacher snapped you out of your thoughts and made you flinch with such force. He made his way over to your desk, kneeling down beside you on his knees and resting his arms on your desk. The man offered you a smile.

"How are you today?" He questioned, obviously knowing that you weren't doing well at all, though you didn't know that he knew such things.

How you wanted to pour out your heart and all your struggles onto the tiny table before you. You wanted to do badly, but you just couldn't seem to do it. He was your teacher, not your friend, not your therapist, not anyone to vent to. Yet, you just wanted to talk to someone at the same time as much as you wanted to hide it all since you were so ashamed. In short, you chose to keep quiet because you assumed he didn't want to hear you complain.
