Day 685
Thursday 12th July 2018
Another quiet day, although Rocky is talking to me again. I asked him what made him realise it was all a misunderstanding and he said it was Naomi who had a chat and explained things to him. This was unexpected.
I found Naomi and thanked her for explaining things to Rocky. "Calm down Luke," she bluntly said, "I didn't do it for you." "What do you mean?" I asked. "I told you," said Naomi, "I don't trust that Rocky." "What's that got to do with anything?" I asked. "He doesn't think you're suspicious of him," said Naomi. "Well that's because I'm not," I bluntly said. "Exactly," said Naomi, "So if you're back on speaking terms with him, he'll start talking to you again, he might let his guard down and you might hearing saying something suspicious." "Hang on," I firmly said, "So you only spoke to Rocky and get him talking to me to make it easier for me to spy on him and listen out for anything dodgy." "Of course," said Naomi. "Well I'm not going to spy on him and look out for anything dodgy," I firmly snapped, "And that's because I don't think there's anything dodgy to look out for. Jesus, Naomi, will you give it a rest? Just when I thought you was getting back to your old self." "You need to wake up, Luke," said Naomi, "That Rocky is hiding something. You two seem to get on so you need to get closer and find out what he's really doing here." "What do you mean, 'what he's doing here!?'" I exclaimed, "What he's doing here is the same as what we're all doing here. Trying to stay alive." "Why here?" asked an assertive Naomi, "Why here with us?" "Well why not?" I said, "He needed help and we were in the right place at the right time." "Yeah," said a cynical Naomi, "Awfully convenient for him eh? Luke, I think he works for ACROBAT." "Oh Naomi, you've got to stop this," I said, "You sound like a complete nutter. If you really feel the need to be suspicious of anyone go and be suspicious of Janine. Everyone wants Rocky here. No one apart from you wants Janine here." "She's not spying on us all," said Naomi. "Neither is Rocky," I firmly said. "Luke," said Naomi, "That guy showed up JUST as we were getting ready to leave Parrissa's parents, JUST after we dealt with all the ACROBAT scum at the other house and since he's been here he hasn't stopped asking questions. Do you really think that's nothing to worry?" "I've told you," I said, "He's just making conversation. He wants to fit in." "I think he's working for ACROBAT and that he's gone undercover so he can gather intelligence and report back," said Naomi. "That makes no sense," I said, "Anyway how's he supposed to report back? We haven't exactly got Wi-Fi down here." "I want him gone," said a firm Naomi. "No way," I assertively said, "I'm not having him leave whilst Janine stays here. It's just not going to happen and the others will back me up too." Naomi gave me a firm look which I reciprocated. It felt a bit like we were squaring up to each other. Naomi then walked off in a mood.
Rocky approached me after witnessing the confrontation from a far. "I'm really sorry I'm causing all this trouble," he said. "YOU'RE not causing any trouble," I exclaimed, "It's her. You know she never used to be like this." "I don't want to get in between you two," said Rocky. "There's nothing to get in between," I said, "Not anymore by the look of it." "Well, it might still be best if I go," said Rocky. "No way," I said, "Why should you go? You haven't done anything wrong. If anyone should go it's that twisted b*tch who likes to keep people as slaves." "It just feels like me being here is causing trouble," said Rocky. "No, it's Naomi's attitude," I said, "You're going nowhere."
Being out in the big wide wicked world on her own has f*cked up Naomi. I know that it sometimes pays to be suspicious but she's taken it all to another level and the irony is overwhelming, what with her hanging around with that tw*t, Janine. Rocky is a nice guy and I can't believe Naomi can't see that and I can't believe she has figured out what a b*tch Janine is.
