Day 717
Monday 13th August 2018OH. MY. GOD. I found out who the mysterious person in the bunker is today and I can honestly say that it was the last person I ever expected. To say I am in shock is a massive, and I mean MASSIVE, understatement.
It all started when all of us went to meet Roz at midday outside the adventure playground. Roz approached us, alone with a defensive look on her face. She seemed surprised that we'd all come together. "This is a bit full on isn't it?" said Roz, "All of you coming to meet just me?" "We didn't know you'd be coming alone," said Mike. "Well there's no need for me to bring the others is there," said Roz, "Anyway we got your note. What's all this about an infected getting in?" We told Roz what happened yesterday and how we killed the inflected and removed the body (obviously leaving out the bit about Trudy being bitten). "Do how did it get in?" asked Roz. "That's what we need to talk about I said. "This is the first time we've ever had an infected in here," said a stern Roz, "In fact we've never had problems like this before; before you arrived." "You nasty dyke," snapped Trudy, "It's not our fault an infected got in. If anyone's to blame it's . . ." "It's pointless talking about blame," I said interrupting Trudy, stopping her from landing Kyle in it, "We need to make sure this doesn't happen again." "Yeah we're the ones who killed the infected f*cker," snapped Mike, "We dealt with the problem." "You probably caused the problem in the first place," said Roz. "And what are you basing that wild assumption on?" asked Naomi. "I've told you," said Roz, "We never had problems like this until you got here." "Look," I said, "We've searched the zoo, in fact we've checked the whole place and we found a hole." "A hole?" said Roz. "Yeah you know what a hole is don't you?" said a blunt Trudy, "You've got one in your face, one in your arse and one in between your legs." "We've secured the hole," said Tara, "It's safe for now." "Well how the Hell did this hole appear?" asked a firm Roz, "When we first got set up here we checked every inch of the place. There was no hole." "You saying we made that hole?" snapped Trudy. "Well it got there somehow," said Roz. "Yeah, one of your lot put it there you daft tw*t," snapped Trudy. "You what?" said Roz. I gave Trudy a stern stare, signalling she should shut up. "Are you saying one of US made the hole?" said Roz, "I've just told you. We checked the entire place. There was no hole. It's obvious one of you lot is responsible for the hole and therefore responsible for that infected getting in. You probably made the hole in the fence on purpose so you could let one of those things in and force us into communicating." "You think we'd go out of our way to let any infected in on purpose?" exclaimed Mia. "You stupid idiot," said Naomi. "No one would purposely risk theirs or someone else's life by letting infected roam about," said Tara, "You obviously don't know anything about the infected." "I've been out there," said a blunt Roz, "I know enough about the infected. Look, you lot have caused enough trouble. Why don't you all just do the right thing and leave?" "We didn't make the hole," said TJ, "None of us did." "Look, why am I here?" asked a blunt Roz, "What's the point in this conversation?" "If we're going to live together we need to find a way to work together," I said, "Especially when it comes to keeping the infected out." "We don't want you here," said a firm Roz, "We don't want to work together with you. Just go. This is the latest thing in a long line of trouble that you lot have caused. Please. Just leave." "You selfish cow," snapped Trudy, "We find a hole in your precious zoo, fix it and get told to p*ss off frigging charming." "JUST GO!" Roz loudly and despairingly said. There was a slight pause. I think we felt uncomfortable at how desperate Roz was for us to leave. "You've told us, now we're telling you. Again," said Naomi, bluntly, "We're not leaving." Roz looked at us all one by one and could see the determined looks on our faces. She gave a depressing sigh and looked defeated. "So you're not going to leave?" said Roz. "No," snapped Trudy, "Nicola just told you didn't she?" Roz gave another sigh and then looked at me with a frustrated but fed up expression. "Right, well come on then," she said. I looked confused. "What do you mean?" I said. "Well if you're not going to leave no matter how much we try and how much we beg then I think I suppose there's someone you need to talk to." "It wouldn't happen to be the mysterious person who CLEARLY knows me and who you've been hiding away all this time would it?" I firmly said. "If you're not going to leave and we have problems with infected she thinks it's best you talk and get it out of the way," said Roz, "Come on. Let's go." Roz and I started to walk off and everyone started to follow. Roz stopped, turned round and looked at the others with a confused and angry look. "You lot aren't coming," said Roz, "We don't need an audience. This is none of your business." "Oh come on," said TJ, "This is the biggest mystery ever. We've been dying to know who you've got hidden down there." "You'll know soon enough," said Roz. "Hang on," said Trudy, "We need to talk about that hole at the back of the zoo and how we need to be alert in case any other infected get in." "We will," said Roz, "But we need to sort this first. One thing at a time eh?"
