Day 713
Thursday 9th August 2018

A rather quiet day.

None of us have seen any of the others which is really strange. It's like not one of them had left the bunker all day. I'm wondering if Roz has told them all to stay below and not come to the surface unless absolutely necessary. They can't stay down there forever. They're going to have to come to the surface at some point.

One thing I did notice today was Tara and Trudy having what I can only describe as some sort of secretive chat. This reminded me of when I saw them cosying up to each other a few weeks ago. Once Tara and Trudy had stopped talking to each other I approached Tara and asked her what was going on. "What do you mean?" she asked. "With you and Trudy," I said, "That's the second time I've seen you have secret chats." "Secret chats?" said Tara, "You're paranoid. Hardly a secret chat when we're sitting at a table out in the open." "I'm not stupid," I said, "I know something's going on." "Luke," Tara said with a patronising smile, "Nothing is going on. I was just talking to Trudy about all this stuff with that lot and this mysterious stranger in the bunker. You never know. It could be an old flame of yours."  "Stop trying to distract me," I said, "What's going on with you and Trudy?" "Oh Luke," said Tara, with an even more patronising smile, "There's nothing going on. Ask Trudy if you don't believe me. Why are you being like this?" There was a slight pause. Tara looked at me with uncertainty which caused me to feel a bit embarrassed. "Sorry," I said, "I guess I've got a lot on my mind." "Course you have," said Tara, "There's someone fifty feet under us who obviously knows you and isn't saying very nice things about you. Just remember, I'm on your side. Chill out and stop being paranoid."

I think I need to chill out. Leo's been crying a lot recently and no matter how much I try it's a struggle to get him to settle. That, and with my mind constantly racing about who's in the bunker, I guess I'm feeling pretty stressed.
