Different Newtmas (Maze #8)

Chapter 14

THOMAS POV:

We walked up to the whole. A number code came up. "Eight numbers" said Newt. Minho walked up and typed in the code. It opened and we climbed down to a hall. "How did you know the code" I asked. "I just guessed it was the order the maze changes" said Minho. I was confused. "When the maze changes it opens up a new section. There are eight" said Newt. We kept walking till we found a door that says exit. We opened it and found a office area. "Wow what are you doing here" asked a working. "Long story, can you erase his memory of tonight" asked Newt. "We will have to discuss this" said another worker. All the workers left and had a meeting. We walked around the base. "Wow" said Minho looking around. I turned on a computer. "What are you doing" asked Newt. "I'm just checking something quick" I said. I wanted to find out more about myself. I don't even remember my full name. I looked up Thomas. "Get off there" said a worker. I exit and turned away from the computer. The workers were done from their hour meeting.

"We talked it over and decided to erase Minho's memory" said a worker. "Will I remember anything" asked Minho. "You'll remember everything from the maze but every thing from before will be forgotten and as for tonight you will remember you and Thomas seeing a griever and fainting in fear. Tomorrow you and Thomas will both go up in the box" said a worker. "Both of us" I asked. "Yes, Thomas will just be put to sleep so you can both wake up in the box and Newt was never there" said a worker. "Okay" said Minho. The workers left to get ready.

NEWT POV:

We were sitting on chairs waiting for the workers to come back. "Is this why you quit being a runner" asked Minho. "Ya, I was worried that I would accidentally show you where the exit is" I said. "And Ben getting stung" asked Minho. "He followed us into the maze before but we had no idea" I said. "We are sorry about that. We should of been watching more" said Thomas. "No, if it wasn't you then something would of killed him. He was a great runner but not always the smartest. He started to believed that there was no exit" said Minho.

We all laughed a little. "Is any one else a half griever"  asked Minho. "No, just the two of us" said Thomas. Minho yawned. He noticed Thomas and I aren't tired. "How are you two not even tired" he asked. "We don't sleep" I said. "So you stay up all night alone" asked Minho. "Ya" said Thomas. We were silent. The workers came back. "We're ready to erase Minho's memory" they said. Minho got up and left. "Will he ever get it back" asked Thomas. "After the war is over" said a worker. They started leaving. "Hey" said Minho turning to us. We looked up at him. "Before I forget everything I wanna say I don't care what any one else thinks. You two are my best friends and thanks for saving my life" said Minho. Thomas and I smiled. "Your welcome and I guess not all humans are bad" I said. Minho smiled and left. The workers handed Thomas a small see threw shot glass with a dark blue liquid. "Drink this, you will still remember everything but slowly fall asleep" said a worker. Thomas took the drink and the workers left. Thomas drinked the liquid.
