Different Newtmas (Maze #8)

Chapter 71

NEWT POV:

"Okay come on, other greenie maybe you can talk to some of the other gladers" said the halfing that slapped me. Alby nodded and left. I couldn't read his face. When Alby left the two halfings dropped the act they had. "You told her. She's the daughter of the human president of America" said the second halfing. "I followed them into the maze when Minho was in training" said Teresa crossing her arms. "Training" asked the first one. "I was turned from a human to a halfing and Newt and Thomas were teaching me about everything" said Minho. "Okay but why do we sense three halfings from him" said the second halfing pointing to Thomas. "I'm pregnant" said Thomas. We were all silent. "How long" asked the halfing. "Two months" said Thomas. "We also don't know for sure if Tommy is having twins or not" I said. "So what are your names" asked Teresa. The halfing signed annoyed. I don't think they like Teresa. "I am Dakota and he is Tyler" said the first halfing. I was surprised. "Tyler, Tyler Blue" I asked. Tyler was confused. "Have we met" asked Tyler. "It's me, Newt Sebastian" I said. 

Tyler smiled. "Newt, how you been man" asked Tyler. We did a quick hug. Everyone else was confused. "You know him" asked Minho. "Oh, ya uh Tyler was my best friend growing up. Tyler that's Minho, my husband Thomas, and you already know Teresa" I said pointing to each. I noticed Thomas didn't seem as happy. "Come on, let's go find Alby" said Thomas. He started leaving. "Do mood swings start this early in the pregnancy" asked Dakota. I shrugged. "Let's just bloody follow him" I said. We followed Thomas and went to find Alby. 

THOMAS POV:

I signed as we walked. It's not mood swings. I think. I just got jealous of Tyler and Newt. I agree that Newt should have friends but I still fear he might leave me for some one who was born a half griever. I know if I did enter the maze as a human I would still end up with Newt but I still fear I am not good enough for him. We found Alby talking to Ben. They saw us and stopped talking. "Hey greenies, I assume Lake has already given you a tour" said Ben. "No not yet" I said. 

"Oh, well I can give you the tour if you like" said Ben. "Sounds good to me. Come on Tyler let's go get ready for tonight" said Dakota. Tyler and Dakota ran off. "Anyway" said Ben starting the tour. It was pretty much the same thing as our maze. I wonder how everyone is doing. Especially since Newt had no second in command yet. I kept a eye on Ben as we walked. I am half expecting him to turn and attack me again. Which that actually was our first interaction together so my thoughts are justified. I think. After the tour the party to welcome the greenies started. It was kinda the same as ours. I had a quick morning sickness in the woods. I sat alone and watched everyone else dance, laugh, and have fun. Newt sat next to me. "You okay Tommy" asked Newt. "Ya, I just started to feel a little tired. And I think my mood swings might of happened earlier" I said. Newt wrapped his arms around me and pulled me to lean on his chest. "Well we start working the fields tomorrow and I already told everyone about the 'stomach bug'. They are all okay with it and understand you can't work tomorrow" said Newt.
