NEWT POV:

Thomas was sleeping. I think. I put the bucket down and laid down on Thomas' hammock. I held him in my arms and Thomas snuggled closer to me. That night we just laid down in our hammocks as it stormed. A few weeks pasted and now Thomas was 12 weeks pregnant. Some of Gally's friends apologized for when they gave Tommy a black eye. They now believe Thomas is pregnant because his belly is starting to show but not everyone believes. Thomas has started to get rid of his morning sickness but it's still there. One week left. Assuming it will blow over in the second trimester. I was laying with Thomas. The box started coming up. I was confused. Thomas and I got up. "Go ahead I'll be right there" said Thomas. I gave him a peck on the lips and ran off to see why the box has come early. I made it and Gally jumped down. There was just a note. Thomas made it and stood next to me. Gally opened the letter and started reading it. He signed annoyed and threw the letter in the air letting it fall to the ground.

"What did it say" asked Frypan. "They want to send Thomas down to get a ultrasound. They said Newt can come with because he is the dad. They will be sent up tomorrow but it will just prove that this shank isn't pregnant" said Gally gesturing to Thomas. Gally climbed out of the box. "I can't go, I have too much to do here" I said. "We can handle it without you for a day" said a boy. "Newt you have to go it's your baby" said another boy. "Either you go or I'll toss you in the pit" said a boy.

THOMAS POV:

Newt signed. "Okay, but don't do anything bloody stupid" said Newt. I smiled and Newt jumped down. He held out his arms and I climbed down. Newt sat me down on the floor and the boys closed the box. "Tell me what gender it is" said Teresa. "Did the baby even develop that yet" I asked. "I don't know but tell me what you find out. I'm sure we all wanna know" said Teresa looking at the other gladers. They all agreed. "Okay, we will tell you what we find out" said Newt.

The box closed and we started going down. I moved my legs apart and threw up. Newt rubbed my back. "You okay Tommy" he asked. "Ya, I'm fine. One week left of this" I said. I finished throwing up and the box stopped. A wall opened up there was a female doctor standing there. Newt and I stood up. We followed the doctor to a room. "Just to clarify I am human but I am on the halfings side. I believe this whole war is stupid and I'm not the only one" said the doctor. "I'm glad not all humans hate us" said Newt. We made it to a room and entered. "You can lay down on the bed Thomas" said the doctor. I sat on the bed and laid down. I lifted my shirt up and showed my stomach. Newt stood next to me and held my hand. The doctor grabbed a bottle. "This may be cold" she said. The doctor put some liquid on my chest and I flinched a little. It was cold for a second. The doctor put the transducer on my stomach and the machine turned on. There was a sound of a heartbeat. I covered my mouth and tried not to cry. Newt was smiling like crazy. "That's our son" he said. "Sons" said the doctor.
