Sam's girlfriend Gabbie had been acting strange for the past few weeks, they barely hung out and she was getting more and more distant to the point where Sam thought she was intentionally avoiding him in the halls of school, making him extremely upset, they had known each other for years every since they were kids and she had never once acted like she was now
Out of both of them you'd think Sam would be the one to become distant, he was the quiet bookworm, the 'normal' to her crazy, Gabbie was funny she liked pulling pranks and had a real sweet tooth, she has short blonde caramel hair and whiskey gold eyes that shined whenever she stood near light and she was always happy, smiling and laughing, seeing her smile was the best part of Sam's day
But now she doesn't smile, she changed her look entirely to a more boyish style, she stopped pranking people and for some reason she always wears a beanie covering her beautiful hair
Sam had no idea what was going on with his girlfriend, he had tried asking her family but it seemed as if they were avoiding him too

Sam knocked on Gabbie's bedroom door repeatedly, he was tired of not knowing what was going on with her and he wanted some answers to keep himself from going crazy "Gabbie open up!" He called, he could hear slight fumbling coming from the other side of the door
What was she doing, is she with someone? Sam thought
Gabbie opened he door her arms were crossed over her flat chest, holding the flannel she wore closed "Sam what are you doing here?" She asked awkwardly staring down at herself, she was only in a pair of shorts and a flannel shirt
"We need to talk Gabs, you've been acting different lately" He explained entering the her room which was a mess by the way, her clothes were piled up on the floor along with candy wrappers
"What do you mean?" She asked innocently
Sam sighed "Just tell me the truth..are you cheating on me?" He didnt want to belive it but his mind told him that it had to be the reason why she was acting strange for the past couple weeks, Gabbie's eyes widened "What no- never!"
"Then what is it!- you avoid me at school- we barley even speak to each other-"
"Sam I'm not-..I'm just going through some personal stuff" She muttered "That's it"
"What personal stuff?" Sam huffed sitting himself down on Gabbie's bed and Gabbie joined him "It's personal Sam"
Sam looked at her with pleading eyes "We tell each other everything..how is this any different?"
"It's different because-.."
"..Because what?"
She looked up into Sams eyes and sighed "Because you'll hate me for it"
"I could never hate you for anything" Sam assured her, he loved Gabbie unconditionally 'Quirks and all', so much that he knew he could never stop loving her no matter what
"..Over the summer I started to feel differently, like there was something missing in me..and over the summer I found what it was" She bent her head down looking away from Sam "..I-I'm a boy trapped inside a girls body" Gabbie's voice came out small and strained, Sam could tell she was fighting the urge to cry "What?" He breathed
Gabbie stood up in front of Sam, she let her arms go from her chest and her flannel opened showing her bandaged chest, she then pulled of the beanie she was wearing and her hair fell down, the long curly caramel locks she used to have were now short and messy
He gestured at himself "This is what I've been hiding from you"
"Gab- I don't..I dont understand?" He mumbled "I'm transgender Sam"
Sam nodded but he was still slightly confused, he knew what being transgender mean't but his brain still wasn't quiet processing the situation "So you're a boy now?"
"Yeah I go by Gabriel now-... I know you might not get it but I've been feeling like this for a while even before the summer-.. you know different" Gabriel looked down at Sam's face, he still seemed confused causing Gabriel to begin to fiddling with his fingers "I get it if you feel uncomfortable or you want to break up, I mean not a lot of guys stay with their trans boyfriends"
"No!" Sam exclaimed "I- I don't want to break up with you"
"Really?"
Sam stood up facing Gabriel "I'm not most guys" He wrapped his arms around Gabriel's waist pulling him closer and into a quick kiss "I love you" He whispered wiping away the tears that fell from Gabriel's eyes "Sam are sure because I don't want you to-"
"Gabriel, I once promised you that I would never ever leave your side not matter what..and I meant it"
Gabriel rolled his eyes and sighed "Yeah but we were like 12"
"So?, it doesn't matter, what matters Gabe, is that we have some catching up to do-" He mumbled playfully picking Gabriel off the ground and swinging him on his shoulder and began spinning him around "No-no-..Sam!" Gabriel laughed "I can't breathe-" He laughed loudly as Sam threw him on the bed
"I hate when you do that" Gabriel panted and Sam dropped down next to him shrugging "Meh..you love it"
Gabriel huffed "What about your brother or your parents!, they all know me as 'Gabbie'"
"My family loves you Gabe and they will still love you for being you"
"But what about you Sam"
"What about me?"
"You're not even gay!"
"I'm bi" Sam stated propping himself up on his elbows "And if dating you makes me gay well then bring out the rainbow flags and glitter"
Gabriel hit his arm playfully "You are the best boyfriend ever"
"I know-I'm a gift" Sam smiled, he leaned in to kiss Gabriel but a knock on the door stopped him, Gabriel sighed "Come in!"
"Gabriel, mom told me to tell you that your doctors appointment is next week" His brother Castiel informed him, "Oh hey Sam.." Cas said awkwardly looking at Gabriel for answers
Gabriel just mouthed 'He knows' and Cas made an 'O' shape with his lips before closing the door
"Wait so does everyone in your family know?" Sam asked raising a brow, Gabriel shrugged "Yup, I tell my family everything"
"What's the doctors appointment for?"
"To find out when I can start 'T'" Gabriel answered and Sam gave a confused look "Testosterone" Gabriel added and Sam nodded in understanding
"You're really okay with this?" Gabriel questioned, he was extremely terrified that Sam would just leave him when things got to hard to handle and he knew that it would hurt less if Sam just dumped him now then broke his heart in the future
"For the last time Gabriel-" Sam smiled softly staring into Gabriel's eyes "I'm not going anywhere"
