His voice shocked me into standing still again.

Why did he seem so familiar to me?

"You don't remember me?" He asked, in a begging tone.

I shook my head slightly, scared to speak with the fear that I might cry. He stared into my eyes intensely and I noticed a weird silver ring around his irises, flexing and pulsating.

"Please remember me." The pain in his voice sent a shock through my own heart that I didn't understand.

I was still scared, but I didn't feel like I was in any danger.

"How can I remember you if I've never met you?" I whimpered out, his fingers cooler than normal against my upper arms, where he held me, but somehow scorching my skin at the same time.

I had never felt such attraction towards someone before.

"DAMN IT!" He yelled, taking one of the hands that was holding me and slamming it against the wall by my head.

I froze in fear, not feeling very safe anymore. We stood there for a moment, me afraid to move, him having some kind of internal break down that I didn't understand. I sucked in a breath, as he pressed his forehead against the wall next to my head.

I could feel his red streaked hair tickling my face. His eyes were closed and he was breathing heavily, like he was trying to control something inside of him.

"Please let me go." I whispered, trying to move my arm that was still captured by him.

He opened his eyes, the blackness of them making me shrink into the wall.

"Oh!" I yelped out.

He closed them again and shoved away, turning his back to me. My fingers ached to reach out and touch this beautiful crazy stranger, but the fear for my own life had me resisting. He was insane.

I had never met him before, but he somehow had my phone number, knew where I lived, and knew my name.

What is going on? My brain was dancing around to several different options, but unable to make a coherent thought.

"Are you going to hurt me?" I asked, edging away from him.

He turned back towards me, his crystal blue eyes sad.

What happened to the black that I had just seen?

"No, of course not Chloe. I would never ever hurt you. I love you." His deep voice cracked at the end of his sentence.

I felt a surge of...something at his words.

"You can't love me. You don't know me. I don't know you. This is crazy." My breathing started coming in short panicked gasps.

I was freaking out.

"Please..."

I didn't know what I was begging him for.

Just that I needed help.

"What is it baby? I'll do whatever you want. Please just try to remember! Can you tell me who did this?"

My eyebrows furrowed at his questions as he got closer to me again. "Who did what? What are you talking about?!" My voice reached a high pitch that I didn't even recognize.

I wanted to tell him to leave, but some part of me was preventing those words from coming out of my mouth. He pressed his lips together, as my eyes started prickling with tears.

"Please." I begged him again. "I don't understand what's going on."

He nodded at me slowly. "I'm sorry baby. I'm going to go. I'm going to figure this out. Don't worry. I'll fix your door before I leave and you'll be safe. I promise."

I blinked and he was gone. I stayed frozen where I was for a moment, thinking I was going crazy and had imagined the entire thing. Then I glanced at my bedroom door and noticed the knob still lying on the ground.

I hesitantly walked out into the hallway, my eyes darting all around. There's no way he could be gone that fast.

Fix my door?

How could he possibly fix my door before he leaves? He literally managed to break it down. That would take at least a couple of hours to fix, with the trim being splintered and everything.

I walked into the living room/kitchen area, expecting to see him, and the door still lying on the ground. Instead, it looked like he had never been here, my door exactly where it was supposed to be. Only, I noticed that the wood was still splintered around the trim in one spot.

How did he do this so fast? I opened the door slowly, and glanced out into the hallway. It was empty, and quiet.

I pushed and pulled it a few times, checking to see if it actually worked. It squeaked a little but worked fine. I closed and locked it up again, and walked back to my bedroom, finding my phone on the floor.

I picked it up, noticing that I had text messages from both random numbers that called me earlier.

I tapped on the one that I recognized as the handsome stranger.

"I love you. Please remember that. I will never stop loving you. I will make this right."

I shivered a little at the conviction that sounded from one little text.

"Oh what the fuck?" I whispered to myself.

My head was starting to hurt from all of the things that I didn't understand.

I tapped the other message and found one from the girl called Kat.

"Chloe, I don't know what has happened to you, but we can't find Elias. He's disappeared. I need my best friend. Please, please text me, or call me. Something..."

I shook my head and threw my phone on the bed.

There's no way that I'm calling or texting either one of these crazy people. This was some kind of prank. Some TV show that found me somehow, and was filming my reaction.

I glanced out my window again, expecting to see a camera or something. Of course, there was nothing but it had to be something like that. If I had some sort of accident then I would have no memory of anything, so they were messing with me. They had to be.

Somehow, I felt a heaviness in my chest at the thought that the blue eyed man was playing with me.
