*Third Person POV
It's currently a Saturday and we join Serena as she speaks with her Pokémon about the upcoming tournament
"Fen?" Fennekin asked
"That's right. Our first battling tournament" Serena confirmed
"Pancham!" Pancham exclaimed excitingly
"Syl!" Sylveon agreed
"Great. I'm glad you guys are on board" Serena said
"Pan?" Pancham then asked
"That's right, we probably should get ready" Serena agreed
Serena then returned Fennekin and Pancham, and walked downstairs with Sylveon who wrapped one of its feelers around its trainers arm
"Looks like you've finally decided to come out of your room" Grace said
"I need to go train with Ash for the tournament" Serena replied
"Train?" Grace asked suspiciously and she raised and eyebrow
"Mom I'm being serious. There's nothing between us...... yet" Serena said
"Ok Serena. Just don't push yourself too hard if your training with Ash. He's competed in five leagues after all" Grace warned
"How do you know that? I didn't even know that" Serena asked
"Delia told me all about his journeys. Additionally he's made it into the top 16 at least each time" Grace answered
"I knew he was really good at battling, but not that good....." Serena replied
"Your quite the lucky girl Serena" Grace said and Serena started to blush
"R-Right. Well I should get going now" She said and she began to make her way over to Ash's house alongside Sylveon who walked by her side
*Serena's POV
I made my way out of my house and across the street where I knocked on Ash's door. It only took about 2 seconds until I heard fast footsteps descending the stairs and the door swung open
I expected it to be Ash based off the clues but instead it was Fiera which confused me
"Hey Serena" She said with a forced half smile
"Hey Fiera. Something wrong?" I asked
"N-Nothing wrong" She answered nervously and I raised my eyebrow at her
"I'm guessing I'm not the person you were expecting based of the rush" I then said
"No you were. J-Just come on in" She replied and she grabbed my hand and pulled me in
"So where's Ash?" I asked
"Up the stairs" She said back to her usual emotionless tone
"Alright then. Thanks" I replied and she nodded her head
I walked up the stairs and Ash's door was wide open but he wasn't in there, so I walked over to what I knew as Gary's room, and he answered the door
