*Serena's POV
The tale of the peak of me and Miette's rivalry for Ash all started Thursday, when she decided to instigate
"Hey Ash" Miette said
"Hey.... um, oh right. Hey Miette, do you need something?" He replied
"I just wanted to know if you'd come with me after school to the park" Miette explained
"Oh, sure" Ash agreed
"What!" I exclaimed
"Calm down Serena" Shauna said
"Yeah whats the big deal?" Lana asked
"Miette wants Ash for herself" I gritted through my teeth in response
"To be fair, your letting her" Dawn pointed out
"Yeah you can't just let her make advancements on Ash, if you really like him then you'll do something about it" Lillie explained
"Oh, I'll do something about it" I replied and I walked over to Miette
"Hey there Serena" Miette said casually
"Don't 'hey there' me, I need to talk to you" I dismissed
"Ok then, what is it?" She asked
"I challenge you to a battle, the looser has to back off from Ash" I proposed as I crossed my arms
"Then your on" She accepted with a grin
*Time Skip
"This will be a one on one Pokemon battle! Once either Pokemon can no longer continue, the match will end! Furthermore, the looser has to back off-" Clemont was about to say but I cut him off at the end and shouted "Clemont!"
"Oh, right. My bad..... trainers bring out your Pokemon!" He finished
"Go Slurpuff!" Miette said
"Your up Sylveon!" I also said
"Let the battle begin!" Clemont then shouted
"Sylveon use Moon Blast" I started
"Slurpuff defend with Protect!" Miette replied
Sylveon charged and fired a big Moon Blast but of course Slurpuff was able to defend it using Protect
"Now use Cotton Spore!" Miette commanded
Slurpuff conjured up lots and lots of cotton which had Sylveon stuck in it just like when me and Ash battled her, but this time things were different
"Sylveon use Fairy Wind!" I said
Sylveon used the attack and the wind blew all the cotton away and hit Slurpuff for some damage, sending it into the air
"Use Energy Ball!" Miette shouted up
Slurpuff then fired off a green Energy Ball mid air and hit Sylveon just at the same time as it landed
"Are you alright Sylveon?" I asked
"Syl!" She confirmed
"That was good Serena, but it didn't work out in the end" Miette said mockingly
"Whatever. Sylveon use Quick Attack!" I resumed
"Slurpuff use Tackle!" Miette exclaimed
Our Pokemon then charged at each other, Sylveon was faster but Slurpuff was stronger so when they collided in the center of the battlefield they were both sent flying back
