The day finally came for Ash and Serena. The Kalos League finals. Ash against a mysterious trainer who had easily swept Alain in the Semi-Finals, but Ash was confident due to all the support Serena had been giving him
"This will be a six on six Pokemon Battle! Once all six Pokemon from either side can no longer continue, the match will end and a champion will be declared! Trainers, bring out your first Pokemon!"
"Hawlucha, I choose you!" Ash went first
"Kabutops" Anonymous said
"Let the finals match.... begin!"
"Use Substitute" Anonymous began
Kabutops suddenly vanished and then reappeared in front of Hawlucha, landing a big slice to it which sent him back a bit
"Hawlucha use Flying Press!" Ash shouted
"Dodge" Anonymous commanded
Hawlucha jumped up and spread its wing and successfully slammed into Kabutops before it could get out of the way and dodge
"Now use High Jump Kick!" Ash pressured
Hawlucha continued its combo string and lunged forward, landing a big knee to Kabutops's chest which sent it sliding back
"Use Aqua Jet!" Anonymous counterattacked
Kabutops's fired off an Aqua Jet that hit Hawlucha and curved into the air, causing the Fighting & Flying type to crash down into the ground
"Hawlucha! Are you ok?" Ash asked
"Hawl!" He assured
"Use Substitute!" Anonymous continued
"Jump into the air and wait for it, then use Karate Chop!" Ash instructed
Kabutops disappeared and at the same time, Hawlucha jumped into the air and anticipated the attack by hovering for as long as it could. Kabutops eventually reappeared not that long after and Hawlucha dropped down, landing a big Karate Chop to the head on its enemy
"Aqua Jet!"
"Use X-Scissor!" Ash defended
Hawlucha lunged forward and spun like a drill, cutting straight through the Water Type attack and slamming hard into Kabutops, finishing him off
"Kabutops is unable to battle! The winner is Hawlucha!"
"Ash won! He won the first match! He has an advantage!" Serena celebrated as she jumped up from her seat
"Woah calm down there, it good and all but it was one win" Miette said and she pulled Serena back down
"It does mean he has a good advantage though. Hawlucha was only hit once" Clemont said and Serena stuck her tongue out at Miette
"You're up next" Anonymous vaguely announced and Articuno was released from its Pokeball "Use Ice Beam!"
"Dodge that and use High Jump Kick!" Ash quickly replied
Articuno let out a cry that echoed across the battlefield before firing an Ice Beam across the ground towards Hawlucha, who backflipped a few times to avoid the attack before lunging forward and giving Articuno a big knee to the chest
"Steel Wing!" Anonymous said
Articuno's wings then became silver as it swooped in and landed two blows to Hawlucha which sent him flying back, and then adding on Ice Beam which did major damage, but the confident Hawlucha still got up
"Again" Anonymous ordered
"Use Karate Chop to block!" Ash defended
Hawlucha's fists then glowed white as it awaited the incoming Legendary Ice Type, but it was unable to block the attack and was hit hard
