Authors note: Well this is it ladies and gentlemen. Every amourshipping moment so far in the story has all lead up to this chapter. Like I usually say, strap in. Also, warning. Like I said, Part 3 and on is a lot more mature.....
*Serena's POV
"So um, what do you want to talk about?" Ash asked as he sat on his bed, and I sat next to him
"I'll give you one shot. Give me a good apology" I answered
"I... alright" Ash agreed "You see, not that long into my journey through Galar I met the Professor of the region who informed that there was a crime Syndicate that was threatening to take over the entire region, and eventually the others. I knew I couldn't let that happen at all costs, not after what happened last time. I joined the organization, but the catch was that I wasn't allowed to have contacts with anyone due to the risk it could have"
"Huh?"
"Long story short, I'm really sorry I abandoned you Serena. It was the last thing I wanted to do, really" Ash apologized
"Go on" I said
"Not one day passed by where I didn't think of you Serena. How much I missed to see your beautiful blue eyes and your honey blond hair" Ash continued and I began to blush intensely "It was a sacrifice that I was never sure was the right choice"
"I... ok, I understand" I replied
"You do?" He asked and I sighed
"I should be sorry too. I really should have just heard you out. I don't know what I was thinking. I wanted to hurt you, so that you could feel the same pain I did.... I should be the one who's sorry, not you" I apologized in turn as I looked down towards the ground
"We both made mistakes Serena, we'll call it mutual, like we use to" Ash suggested as he gently put his hand through my hair, and I looked up at him with a grin
"Ash" I said confidently
"Yes Serena?" He asked with a confused look
"Kiss me"
"Huh!?"
"Kiss me now your you'll never get the chance again!" I threatened
I was fueled by sudden confidence, I don't know where it came from but I felt great. Ash hesitantly leaned forward and planted a quick kiss on my cheek and I sighed with annoyance and rolled my eyes
"Not on the cheek! Like you mean it!" I explained and he started to blush, and he looked extremely nervous
"Um...." He said quietly but I took control anyways and quickly lunged in, wrapping my arms around his neck and pushing my lips against his, and he was quick to kiss me back
I could then feel one of his arms get placed on the back of my head as his fingers intertwined with my hair locks, and he gripped my hair which made my eyes burst open and me to pull back
"S-Sorry" Ash said
"Don't be sorry, I just didn't see it coming" I replied and I started to catch my breath I was then going to say something else but this time he stopped me as he once again gripped my hair and pulled my head towards his, once again connecting our lips
Our moment then ended not too long after to my disappointment because annoyingly, we humans needed oxygen to survive.
"Serena?" Ash asked
"Yeah?"
"I really appreciate everything you've done for me. You've always been really nice, caring, sweet and supportive of me. You give me confidence and you motivate me" Ash said
"And?" I teased
"Serena..... I-I love you" Ash dropped the bombshell on me, and I started blankly at him, only blinking to prove my consciousness "Sorry if you don't feel the same way, I just thought-"
"Wait! Ash, let me explain" I stopped him, and he gave me another cute confused look "You've always been my world to me Ash. Ever since we were children, and my feelings only got stronger when we reunited three years ago. I've felt this way for so long, a majority of my life in fact. I was heartbroken that you abandoned me because I felt like I wasn't good enough for you, and thats why you left me"
"Serena, your too good for me" Ash chuckled
"Ash, I love you too" I said passionately
"Then why don't make it official" Ash suggested
"Hmm... I don't think I want to be your girlfriend" I replied sarcastically and he frowned "I'm just joking Ash, it's all I ever wanted" and he smiled again
"I'm glad to have you by my side again Serena, I won't leave again" Ash promised
"Are you sure?" I tested him, and he passed by holding out his pinky finger, and our pinkies intertwined
"So what now?" Ash asked
"I want to see how well you can kiss your girlfriend" I answered with a grin and we mutually met each other with another kiss
This one was different then the others though. It felt a lot better, as if it was meant to be. Me and Ash, just us. However, I could feel his hands that were currently wrapped around my back slowly began to make their way down so I removed mine from around his neck and stopped them
"Hold on, we aren't there yet" I said
"Just testing my limits" Ash replied, sounding a bit disappointed
"Cheer up, we'll get there eventually" I motivated and I gave him a light punch to the arm
"So do we just tell our friends or what" Ash pointed out
"I've got a plan" I replied as I brushed my hair back and began to fix it so people didn't get any funny ideas
"Well I'm down for anything" Ash agreed without hesitation
