It was currently December 28th and Ash, Serena, Clemont and Bonnie were hanging out for the day, where Ash decided to get some training in
"Ready Greninja?" Ash asked
"Gren!" He confirmed
"Then..... go!" Ash announced and the two began to jog through the forest
The two were evenly matched until Greninja jumped up and began to hop from tree to tree which gave an edge
"Aw, no fair" Ash sighed as he continued to run

"Where are they?" Bonnie asked
"They sure are taking a while" Clemont answer
"Training hard is fine, but I wish Ash wouldn't over do it sometimes. He can really hurt himself if he isn't careful" Serena said worryingly
"I'm sure Ash will be fine" Clemont assured
"Unless he runs into a tree..... or maybe a wild Pokemon will snatch him up! Or... or he falls off a cliff!" Bonnie guessed
"Bonnie don't be so negative" Clemont replied once he saw Serena's facial reaction to Bonnie's comment
"I'm just saying" Bonnie sighed
"There they are!" Serena exclaimed as her face light up with bright emotions
Greninja then took a big jumped and landed across the finish line that had been set, which meant that he won
"Oh man" Ash complained as he stopped and caught his breath
"That was a good try Ash" Serena complimented
"But I could've done better" He replied
"Ah! Looks like I finally found you guys!" Someone said
The group turned and they found none other than the Champion Diantha approaching them alongside her Gardevoir
"Diantha!?" They all asked in shocked
"Good to see you again Ash!" She greeted
"Yeah, good to see you also Diantha. What brings you around here?" He asked
"I recently had a talk with Olympia and I need to come find you" She answered
"Olympia? The Anistar City Gym Leader?" Clemont asked
"You know her?" Ash asked Clemont
"She's known for being able to see visions of the future" He explained
