Chapter Synopsis: Ash, Serena, Gary & Fiera need to complete their Mega Evolution project for Science. They find it not to difficult in the end with some help, but Serena then struggles to find the confidence to ask Ash to stay the weekend at her place
*Third Person POV
The bell rang to dismiss school for the day and Ash, Fiera, Gary and Jason had completed their first day of school
"Well then let's go!" Serena said
"Right" Gary & Ash replied
"So Ash, how was your first day of school?" Serena asked
"It was great thanks to you!" Ash answered
"Th-Thanks to me?" Serena asked back
"Of course! You've been really nice to us ever since we got here" Ash replied
"Anything for a ...... f-f...... friend" Serena struggled to say
Serena really didn't like she had to use the word friend but she decided Ash would hopefully fall for her eventually
"I hope you told your mom we're coming though" Ash said
"It's fine, she doesn't mind" Serena replied and Pikachu jumped onto her shoulder
"Hey Pikachu!" Serena then said
"Pikaaa" Pikachu replied as she pet him
"I've never seen Pikachu act like this before" Ash said
"I guess I'm special then" Serena replied
"You sure are" Ash responded and Serena blushed and turned her to hide it
Gary then elbowed Fiera's arm teasingly so she hit him back
"Come on it's just a joke" Gary whispered as he rubbed his arm
"Well that's what you get" Fiera replied with no emotion however
The group then reached Serena's house and stepped inside to be greeted by Serena's mom
"Hey there you guys, what brings you around here?" Grace asked
"We're working on a science project on Mega Evolution" Serena answered
"How cool, I think I've heard of Mega Evolution" Grace said
"It's really interesting" Ash replied
"Well you guys have fun up there, behave yourself Serena" Grace teased
"M-Mom!" Serena shouted with some annoyance
Serena then began to blush as she knew what her mom meant so she grabbed Ash's hand and dragged him upstairs
"What's wrong Serena?" Ash asked
"Nothing" Serena answered
The four then gathered in Serena's room as they set the two stones down and examined them
"So what do we need from them?" Gary asked
"Well we need to find the synchronization level" Serena answered
"How do we do that?" Ash then asked
"I didn't actually think of that" Serena replied nervously as she scratched the back of her head
"Do you think Jason would know how?" Gary asked
"I can text him I guess" Ash answered and he pulled out his phone
