*Third Person POV
It a Monday, and we join Ash and his friends as they make their way to the battle stadium where the tournament will begin
"I can't wait to see all the different types of Pokemon they have in this tournament" Mallow said
"I'm sure there will be lots of interesting ones. Including Mega Evolutions" Clemont replied
"And maybe we'll get to see Bond Phenomenon" Kenny hoped
"It's possible, anything could happen in these types of tournaments" Tierno pointed out
"I'm just hoping I don't drag you two down" Serena said
"You won't Serena. I promise, just do your best" Ash replied
"I say your a good battler considering how new you are to it" Fiera added
"Alright then. Thanks guys" Serena responded
"Serena sure has a wide variety of skills, doesn't she Ash?" Shauna asked
"Yeah it's pretty impressive" He agreed
"Stop it Shauna" Serena gritted through her teeth quietly and Shauan giggled
"Look at all the people" Sawyer said in shock as the group entered the general area
"if you think this a lot, just wait until the Kalos League" Dawn replied
The group then made their way into the building so that the three battlers could register, and soon after that registry closed and the match ups were revealed
"Looks like we've got some interesting opponents" Jason said
"Are their names really just X, Y and Z?" Serena asked
"I guess it's some kind of code name" Lillie answered
"Or they just want to stay anonymous" Kiawe said
"Regardless, were all ready to go and win this thing" Ash replied confidently
"Pika!" Pikachu added
"Theres that confident Ash that challenged all those leagues" May said
"I'm sure you guys will do great, but it's time to head to our respective areas" Drew pointed out
"Right. We'll see you guys in a bit" Ash said
The group then said their goodbyes and the three battlers headed out as they were in the first battle
*Skip 10 minutes
"Ladies and Gentlemen! Welcome to 15th annual Kalos Trio Tournament! In this tournament, groups of three will face each other through several rounds. This year we're doing some things differently however. Each battlefield will be randomly selected, and if a Pokemon is knocked off the field, that will count as a defeat" The Announcer said
"Interesting, this will change a lot of things" Clemont said
"Now some Pokemon now have an advantage over others" Lana replied
"Hey guys!" Someone exclaimed from behind and the group of friends turned to see Aria approaching them
"Hey Aria! Didn't expect to see you here" Shauna greeted
"I thought i'd come support" Aria replied
"Well they're up in the first match which should be starting soon" Kenny said
"Now will our first two teams of three make their way up to the battlefield!" The Announced said
Ash's team was up first and they looked ready to go. Ash this time around had exchanged his hat for the one Serena had given him, while Serena wrote the nice blue bow that Ash had presented her with, all while Jason had a nice red and gold cape
